Insoles for flat and sore feet

HiI I have flat feet and sometimes get some pain in my right heel and achilles tendon. I am using Yonex 308 and they fit me pretty well but I would like even more cushioning. What insole brand and model would you recommend? I was thinking of Superfeet orange but is there a better alternative? Thanks.:)

You gotta try a bunch, no quick cure here. Every brand/model has strengths and weaknesses, and you have to filter thru to find what works for your specific problem.
I have the flattest feet of anyone I've ever seen, and I've played sports for over 45 years.
I've tried PowerMax's, Superfeet purple, green, and orange, UltraSols, SoftSols, Dr.Scholl's orthodics, and a few more, and all have something good, and something bad about them.
Best to exercise your arch muscles when you're not active and try to build them up.

I have flat feet, and I go for the Superfeet in blue, but orange does have more cushioning.

Never used aftermarket insoles before...do you change them with the shoe, or do they last for a few pairs? :)

If you have flat feet, you nave a stability problem (in general). Extra cushioning would not be beneficial. The problem with the yonex 308's are that they're not rigid enough and have too much cushioning. You need a lower to the ground, more rigid shoe. As for insoles, there are a variety but I the superfeet just a bit too hard. I've yet to try the orange though.

I would give Cadence insoles a try. They are a best of both worlds meaning that they provide great support and cushioning. I've tried them all and this is the only insole I trust!

Orange is made for more medium to high arched feet, blue is made for lower arches but does not have that extra padding.

I think that you told me in the past that the Cadence insole has a fit that prevents a low to the ground feeling. Is this correct? What is your opinion on Cadence insoles?

By the time my shoe is toast, the insoles are toast too. I buy a new pair of insoles with each new pair of shoes I buy.

Yes, I feel like I sit up too high in my tennis shoes with the Cadence, but that is probably because they offer plenty of cushioning. I prefer them in my casual footwear because I do find them quite comfortable.

Also, if you have health insurance, you may want to check to see if orthotics are covered.

I was able to get out of the green Superfeet and into some that were made for me, and I'm already seeing great improvements.

I agree. I have extremely flat feet and - like many with the problem - have tried just about everything in terms of shoes and insoles in combination. To date, my favorite has been Nike Vapor 9 Tour shoes (low to the ground) and the Superfeet BLACK (less cushioned and more rigid insole designed for sports and those who pronate badly).

That said, I have not tried Cadence Insoles - of course I am curious. Anyone try the Cadence and the Superfeet Black in Nike Vapor 9 Tours?

I have a bad foot condition involving an extra bone in each of my feet, flat feet, and loss of movement in my feet. If I could recommend something, I would say to go to an podiatrist, get a script and get custom orthotics.

Dr Scholls has a great new insole called "Active Series". Seems to feel good with my medium-low arches.

I tried the Superfeet, but they offer very little cushioning.
