There can't be that many. I would definitely recommend the Wilson Professional Staff 90. The only other current mid I've tried is the Volkl Organix10 and I would not recommend that if you play vs heavy hitters. I even leaded mine up to 12.5oz and it still got pushed around. The Pro Staff didn't. But maybe it's me so perhaps if you try it you will like it.
Haven't tried the Yonex Tour88 but the feedback on that is relentlessly glowing and the IG Prestige seems like the best since the Classics. But it seems this Prestige is already over before the new one even arrives.

I'd like to get your take on the PK Redondo Mid. TW rates it for a 4.0 with a long swing.

Ok! I will try to get a demo some time soon. Since the prestige is already gone, ill try the pro staff 90, pb 10 mid, vcore 89, and redondo mid.

Redondo is one of the most gorgeous racquet I have ever seen. I would buy it and hang it on my wall.
Add Dunlop 100 onto that list. I think the new version is called Dunlop 100 "Classic".

I never have liked the feel of dunlops, however I tried them with poly that I never tried before. Maybe I'll give the 100 a go!

One of my favorite mids was the Blade, that is if you can find one.The 2nd edition is the one I really enjoyed, think that's the one Tsonga used in the Australian Open final, nice stick.

The only mids I have and played with are wilsons - 3 k90s, a blx 90 and a ps blx 90. And a bunch of assorted mid pluses.
psblx 90 is an awesome racket, its very headlight - plays much lighter than the other two iterations and has awesome plow. But in my opinion, I liked K90 best among these three iterations of tour 90. So if you can somehow lay your hands on that one, I highly recommend it.
And...and...Should be getting my prestige mid any day though

I am really excited about this, hoping that it's really good, I just hate the grip shape. Not sure if that's a deal breaker or not.
I've always been curious about the Pacific. I've already tried the BLX 90, VCORE 89 and Prestige Mid. If I were making a demo list mids, here's what I would pick:
Pacific X Feel Pro 90 Vacuum
Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid
Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 85
Prince Original Graphite Mid
Prince Tour Diablo Mid
The Pacific and Volkl have always intrigued me because of their low stiffness numbers. The Pro Staff 85 just has intriguing specs across the board from its combo of static weight/swingweight/balance to its 62 stiffness rating and its more open 16x18 pattern. The Prince OG has an interesting 14x18 string pattern. And, the Diablo Mid interests me at 9 pts HL along with the rest of the numbers.

That may be deceiving, because the PS 6.0 85 has a denser center than the rest of the stringbed. This trend was followed by the PS Tour 90, nCoded 90, but abandoned by the K90/BLX90/PSBLX90.

To be quite honest, I'm only tentative about using a mid because my baseline and return game are so solid right now (besides being able to hit lots of winners) and I don't want to mess that up just to be able to hit flatter. Everything is just up in the air for me because I play my best win a APD style racket but can't handle the stiffness. I should also probably give poly strings a break as well, or at least use super low tensions.
By now you all know how my racket ventures are like a roller coaster ride and I have always been looking for something to just solidify my game. After reading a bunch and going through my old threads and posts, I realize that I go back on a lot of decisions. I'm tentative. I like to use a racket that has proven its worth. I don't like a racket that's iffy when it comes to popularity. Because when I start hitting poorly or serving bad, I look at the racket and go "no wonder why no one uses this". I'm a leader when it comes to daily personality, but when it comes to tennis I follow hype quite a bit. I always try to use the underdog frame or brand, but it never seemed to work.
I'd like to have someone tell me what to use right now...whether it be a yonex mid or an APD. No poly for now. Next racket will be the softest multinational can find strung accordingly.
Many of you will shake your heads in disgust, many of you will think to yourself "he'll never choose" and someof you will think I'm just trolling. I'm no troll, and my motive is to become a better player and become a very solid 4.0 at the end of the year.

You need to lose that mentality. That are MANY people who swear by their less than popular Volkls, Pro Kennex, Dunlops, and etc.
There are a bunch of old timers who refuse to switch to newer frames, so their frames are "not popular" anymore. But I assure you, those older timers can whip the floor with their Wilson Profiles and such.

Oh believe me, I definitely try to get rid of it. But it always creeps back into my mind and I can't help it.

i really like the MG prestige mid. the yonex rds 001, ive got some pro kennex graphite sabers that are 14-18 patterns. the ncode 90 ,and the kps 88.
i know these are older frames, but if you can find em at a decent price i think you'd really enjoy them, as i believe the feel of them are amazing, and they are wicked powerful with great spin generation.

You are spot on my friend! And I also enjoy hitting big powerful shots and shots that make your jaw drop. These are the things that I love about tennis.
I actually hate serve and volley, I hate big serve, one big forehand tennis. I love the baseline big banging groundies back and forth. That's what I live for.

I would compare my love for rackets with baseball. If I can find a bat to bring my average up, that's all good. However, I also like to hit home runs on occasion just for the feeling of it
It felt sluggish to me. I didn't really like it. The BLX 90 was my favorite of the three. The Prestige Mid feels great but it just takes too much effort to get depth on shots. I wouldn't recommend trying that one. You won't like it.

Hmm. I dont get this. You like big jaw dropping shots that are powerful, but dont like big serves?? Nothing is as jaw dropping as an ace IMHO. 135mph second serves are pretty cool too.
Anyhow try a POG mid at the low end of the range if you like big banging groundies...

mike, i previously recommended the vcore 89 for you but didnot know you are a 4.0
to be honest, you will find the 89 difficult to play with a bit. you will enjoy hitting with it but you might suffer a bit in competitive game situation. you will need to adjust your timing and be physically ready for the heavy SW .
But it will definately improve your game if you wanna work hard for it.

Mike, are you demoing the mids with the idea of possibly buying or just to try them out?
I found them fun to try out, but ultimately they weren't for me...too demanding. I expect you'll find them the same.
Unless it is a stick you just absolutely want to try, I'd recommend avoiding the Prestige Mid. It makes the Pro Staff feel forgiving. haha

^^^^^THIS!!! I got two of these on vacay in Vegas a few years back. BEASTS! However, I proved to be an unworthy beastmaster. I also tried the BB London Tour. I liked that one too.

after watching my videos, I see that a tweener really is for me. No players frames for this guy. My swing is too compact. It's fast, but compact. Perfect for an APD type racket. IMO.
