I'm betting as I type this someone else has created a thread.

Murray hasn't beaten Djokovic since his Wimbledon victory of 2013. Can he turn the tide or will Djokovic's game just be too strong for Murray? I'm guessing Djokovic in 3 sets, he's strong and solid at the mo.

Murray has won 20 out of 22 since his defeat at the US Open...to whom pray? You guessed it! Why has my "8"'s turned into sunglasses? LOL.

THIS PICTURE SIGNIFIES RESPECT BETWEEN BOTH FANS :)

Unlucky for Murray and Djokovic to meet this early in the tournament due to Murray's drop in rankings. It will be a good match. Murray has the momentum going for him and his confidence should be quite high. If he keeps it up, we should see Murray at his 100% in AO. He's close now and should give Djokovic a hell of a tough time. This one should go the distance as their matches have been recently, close to 3 hours, and it's going to be close. Hard to predict, but I still think Murray is not quite there yet, so Djokovic should take this one.

Djoko in 2, maybe 3. Court is better for him, he's fresher and has everything to play for while Andy just reached a big goal - and perhaps isn't quite there yet either

I don't mind Murray winning tomorrow as long as Berdych beats Federer in the semi final and Andy goes on to win the title. I actually think he will win as well seeing as he's been playing better recently and is due another win over one of the other big 4 players at some point. Plus I'm sure the commentators said at the end of Nole's 1st set tonight that he'd injured his shoulder. Did anyone else hear that or was it just me? It would certainly explain why his serve % was so poor at times. So yeah, Murray to take it, probably in two tight sets.

How nice of you! Don't you always say people should not disrespect Novak. What is your beef with Federer winning the title if Djokovic loses?

Don't worry, I think Djokovic will probably beat Murray. I also think Federer will probably beat Berdych. I see a Federer-Djokovic final or a Federer-Nishikori final.

Why would I want to see Federer progress when I want to see Nole as YE#1? :?

Im guessing Murray will tank to save energy for WTF now since he is qualified. On another note. All of the top 8 seeds except Wawa have made it to the QF's

Novak fans are a greedy bunch. They got a Wimbledon which went 5 sets in the final , where Fed had all the momentum at 4-4, 15-15 in the 5th. Perhaps Fed's last chance of a major.

The USO was another rubbing salt on a wound .

Yet , they dont want Fed to get a consolation prize. :(

Fed can have his consolation prize when Switzerland win the Davis Cup.

Shame Stan couldn't get past Anderson as we would have had the top 8 in the QF for the second year running. Oh well.....

Really hoping Ferrer will qualify rather than Raonic. Milosh crumbled when he played Fed at Wimbledon. He probably wouldn't win a set at WTF. Ferrer and Berdych will probably win

Federer makes Raonic's serve look extremely ordinary, well he did at Wimbledon....

Tend to agree with this. It's a pretty sweet quarter for Fed. Unless Raonic serves a Sampras level masterclass Fed will slice him to ribbons and make him squat and lurch forward for a hell of a lot of shots. Next round Berd or Anderson, tricky but doable for him especially considering Berdych is struggling a little recently.

It's a helluva a tougher assignment on Djokovic's side. To beat Murray and then , let's say Nishikori back to back and then Fed... He can do it but he needs to be very sharp. If he doesn't make the final and Fed wins he's number one straight away. I think. Interesting times.

I see what you mean but Murray has the momentum which is very important to build the confidence. Confidence plays a big part in tennis and I think Murray will give Djokovic a tough time.

Novak's draw from hell continues. At the same time, could anyone please remind me who Federer played today? Someone named Pollie, or something like that? It that even a pro?

Ridiculously uneven draw. And clearly it is not by accident.

Nole has an easier draw than Federer.

surprised that so many people going for djokovic here.

thought it would be more evenly split.

murray is ready for this victory imo. He is playing better and novak hasn't been that impressive...

but novak is obviously the favorite and will need to raise his level to win tomorrow.

Pouille is an up and coming young player with plenty of game....

Wrong again. Novak has the best possible draw in the SF(4th-seeded Ferrer) and QF(8th-seeded Murray), and second-to-best possible in the third round(15th-seeded Simon)

Federer? Worst possible draw in the SF(3rd-seeded Wawrinka), second-best in the QF(7th-seeded Raonic), and best-possible in the third round(16th-seeded Fognini).

Fed's is about as even as you can get, just slightly positive draw for him, Novak's is almost as close to an easy draw as you can get. If you're looking for someone to complain on behalf of, you might try Murray. He had the toughest out of the top players.

None needed :) I expect Djokovic to win anyway. Hopefully the Muzz proves me wrong.

Just out of interest, is there any player you'd like to see Novak beat MN or is it simply a case of whoever he plays, you want him to lose? What if he were playing Fognini tomorrow for instance?

I love the Muzz, so me wanting him to win is a given. The only people I really would root for to beat Novak are Stan, Nadal, The Muzz, Berdych, Dolgo, Monfils, Federer, Bolelli and Haas. I could be missing a few but not too many. The way you worded your question though... "like to see him beat"... I'm not sure I'd "like" to see him beat anyone. But outside of those names, I'm indifferent, he does what he does.

It's funny you know. I would have thought given Nole's style of play and knowing that you're not particularly fond of Federer's, that you'd want him to win against Roger too. Perhaps back in '09 you would have done.

Yep, times change though. He didn't have the ridiculous fanboys he does now and I didn't appreciate Federer for who he is and what he has brought to tennis then either.

You know who. Every fan base has them, but Djokovic has the smallest number of objective/unbiased fans I've ever seen. Almost delusional across the board with no respect for Nadal or Federer.

The Djokovic fans I've come across have been mostly respectful toward Fedal. I guess it depends which forums/websites you go on but what you're saying here doesn't really compute with me.

So true. :(

No offence, but I hate Nadal off-clay, I hate Djokovic on grass/indoors, I hate Murray off-grass. See a pattern?

Here's why I like Nadal ON clay. Amazing! http://youtu.be/R5oRINrzyBI
