the difference between the two is just execution and initiative.

djokovic is more aggressive, and murray just doesn't execute enough to keep up with novak from the baseline.

surprised that murray is still so conservative from the baseline..thought he would have figured it out by now after losing to novak so many times.

Predicted result.

Djokovic just too consistent on serve and from the baseline. Murray far too erratic on serve and with his returns. The effects of playing so much tennis in the last 6 weeks finally catching up with him?

It's a bit disappointing that Murray couldn't have come out and played as aggressively and consistently as he did in his first 2 matches. But, then again, this time it was the world #1 he was up against. just playing his usual game!.

Oh well, maybe one of these days Murray might just actually get past a quarter-final at Bercy! Who knows?

As I said a couple of days ago after his win in valencia, murray is not the same player he was, thus makes it hard for him to bother the top top players. If they meet, I said djokovic would wipe the floor with him. Here is the result.

People were going on that he is back, will win another slam etc. Laughable

Pretty embarrassing from Murray the second half of the 2nd set.

Congrats to Djokovic. Pretty easy job, in straights like I expected, unfortunately.

GSM Djokovic. Congrats to his fans on this forum for pretty much sealing his #1 status for 2014.

As for Murray, despite this loss. He's had a great end to the year and there are lots of positives going into next year. RG performance in 2014 shows he could maybe go deep again there and the other 3 slams are all within his grasp if he can string together the wins. Looking forward to the WTF and 2015 season in general!

Why? What for?

Cause he's doing nothing than his usual boring grinding with 0 creativity and he gets away with it time after time.

I hope Nadal comes back and shows Djokovic how much he's worth in a Slam final, of course a gazillion Masters won won't help him then.

Are you serious ? He got beaten like a challenger player by Rafa at FO. he lost tamely to both Fed and Dmitrov.

lol. If he wants to add another gear, he would. But he wants to be solid and consistent, not make to many mistakes. Thats smart.

Losing that first set was so detrimental.

I actually think Murray would have won it in a tiebreak, some of Murray's points were sensational!

All in all, Murray has played about 532 games in the last 6 weeks.

Aim was to get to the WTF, so not too disappointed.

Djokovic is one of the best ever, IMO.

No shame in losing to him and I firmly believe that Murray will beat him again.

For goodness sakes, give Murray some credit for all the tennis he's played the last 6 weeks will you? If he had come into this match as well rested and refreshed as Djokovic, the result might just have been a little bit different!

He gave Djokovic a good run for his money for most of the first set and a real scare when he broke him at the start of the second. Just think what a fresher and more consistent Murray might have been able to do?

Sounding like sour grapes to me..

He lost to fed fresh out of back surgery. He lost to an in-form Dimitrov who had just won queens. 2014 was a bad season for Murray but yes im serious. Federer's 2013 was a write off but look at him this year. So Murray couldnt beat the best player in the world, not many can. Thats WHY he's the best player in the world. Some of you guys need to open your eyes wider than the last result.

Of course he deserves cred for the efforts he has put in since his bad form months ago, wich his climbing on the ranking shows, but all Iam stating is that Murray is not the same player he was, mainly cause of the injuries he has picked up on.

Hopefully Federer can get drawn with Murray at the wtf for another win in the h2h. Everyone wants to see him in their group he is Robredo level now.

To be honest....anybody with multiple slams in this current era of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic has to be considered an all time great.

It is one thing to say Murray will do well next year( which i agree), but his performances at majors have been anything but pathetic. The loss to Rafa and the match against Haase being the pinnacle. So, dont talk about his performance in this year like you did in the previous post.

Interesting point.

I still think Murray will win at least 1 more slam.

He is definitely heading in the right direction.

Serve needs massively improved though, weakest part of his game atm.
