Just saw MOCKINGJAY with my wife. If not for her benefit, this is not a movie i would ever choose, but it was OK. Definitely made me miss Seymour-Hoffman.

Are we counting movies seen in cinemas only or everything?

Cinemas only - very limited choice, my last one:

Fury - Ok, until the last battle which was ridiculous. Ruined the movie.

People have been using any Movie they have last seen, whether Cinemas or not.

Legend
The Life Aquatic - underrated and misunderstood, in my opinion. A lot of the "randomness" is simply playing with traditional narrative devices.

watched paranormal activity last night. It was actually pretty good. not really as scary or intense as Blair Witch but not too bad. i think i will try the sequel tonight.

Yeah, the sequels are all quite good. There is one (I think maybe 3) that is a bit below average though, imo...

Just saw that stupid Mockingjay - women will make you do anything.

Beside going into a long angry tirade, I will say only this.
A very long trailer for the second part.

The second one was better than the first for me. probably because i have kids. I think i will give the 3rd one a try over the weekend.

right now i am going to pop in Bullet To The Head while i am working out. See if i can channel some stallone for the next few hours LOL.

Father's Little Dividend (1951) - sequel of Father of the Bride. Spencer Tracy. Liz Taylor.

Sadly was quite flat.

Raising Arizona (1987) - Nicholas Cage, Holly Hunter. Sorry but i don't get it. I found it slow and boring and the humour very forced.

It was like Baby's Day Out mixed with Dumb and Dumber. Sorry if this offends some movie aficionados.

Violent Saturday (1955) - Heist movie, okayish. Too much time taken by some romantic sub-plots which did not amount to anything in the end. The relevant parts were interesting.

Cage is just atrocious. That's all you need to know.

I watched/fast forwarded through Nightfiler based on a Stephen King book. It was a terrible plot about a vampire that flies a plane from small airport to small airport to feast on human prey.

if anyone is ever in the mood for a good 'B' werewolf movie from the past; check out "Bad Moon"!

great for what it was...

Jurassic World trailer was better than the movies I saw recently (Interstellar, Gone Girl).

JP II and III probably were the scariest movies I've ever seen. The birds in III really scare me even when I've re-watched it on telly.

I wish I could experience time speed shift so I could finish Interstellar in 15 minutes instead of 2.5 hours.

I usually watch movies on my laptop using VLC. I can press Command-Plus and go through the movie at a faster speed. I often use that for all the romantic/family issues and other irrelevant parts.

yeah i like that movie. not many people have seen it. Its a good werewolf flick.

Werewolf movies are kind of strange. I cant think of one that was ever truely great. There are a lot of good ones though. even the old werewolf TV series played on FOX in the late 90s was really fun. seems like its like this with most of the old universal monsters.

Invisible man..... original is the best for me. i also like the John Carpenter/chevy chase version.

wolfman.... werewolf tv series, original Wolfman, silver Bullet, Bad Moon, the Howling, american werewolf in london, Jack Nicolson version was fun. best......maybe the original wolfman followed by the TV series. Bad Moon is up there though.

creature from the black lagoon.....all three originals are really good IMO. No remakes...not sure why. this is actually my favorite universal monster.

Dracula....Horror of dracula with christopher Lee and peter cushing is tops for me. Its a hammer film. all of the hammer dracula films are fantastic. Original dracula is very good along with the spanish version. The Frank Langella dracula is very good. There hasnt been a good dracula film since 1979 IMO.

Frankenstein.....original is best for me. second to that is all the Hammer versions with peter cushing.

Honestly if you like older horror and monster movies its hard to go wrong with the old Hammer Films. they are very well put together. Universal films are great fun and i love them but the hammer ones are a bit more edgy.

BTW...if your a fan of old Universal monster films they just released a complete Legacy collection thats excellent. its basically every film they made regarding the classic monsters. I paid $50 and there are something like 30 films in the set. my kids have been loving it.

The blu ray releases are really impressive as well. I am not a blue ray freak (seams like they are very hit and miss) but its amazing to see how they can revamp something like 1933 dracula to a crystal clear picture and sound. Its like watching a different film. All of the bluray universal revamps are spectacular and well worth the money IMO.

JP3 didnt do it for me. Seems like the dinosaurs looked like toys sometimes. Especially that big monster one. I love 1 and 2 though. My youngest is a dinosaur fanatic. I will be taking him to see JP4. This will be his first movie in a theatre. Hes almost 2 1/2.

Hes also a walking dead head BTW. soon as the music starts he runs for the Nerf sword. I think I have made him watch too many Errol Flynn movies LOL. The little Captain Blood wannabe wont let me walk into a room without a sword fight. I think he will get lightsaber for christmas and i will introduce him to star wars.

If you liked "All That Jazz" you'll like this. Similar trials and tribulations of a man of the stage, whom he hurts, who hurts him, wrestling matches with inner demons. Fine ensemble cast, might be a statue here for Keaton.

Its awesome right? My favorite in a long time.

I watched Babadook. What a cool movie. Very, very heavy and depressing horror film, but I thought it was very creative. Had a little Kubrick, "The Shining" vibe to it.

Nightcrawler. Pretty good, but I was expecting it to be better. Did watch it on a crappy stream though because the cinema isn't playing it even though they said they would be...

Star Wars was a cheap Cartoon compared to Guardians of the Galaxy.

I will bet you anything that When these main four actors Signed up for this movie and was picked for leading roles, They had NO idea just HOW big of hit this movie will become. They are going to be MEGA millionares because of this movie. All Four of them including the Racoon............ and the Tree............

I think part 2 will have more action, and part 1 was kind of a lead up to it. Not much action, but meh....It was fine.

why can't Part 1 have just as much action as the part 2 ? We are paying Same amount of money to see part 1, are we not ? Do you pay the same amount for the Appetizer when you go to the restaurant ? as much as you pay for the main course ?

I dunno...Reminds me of Harry Potter Deathly Hallows 2 part. Leads up to more action in the 2nd film, because their is too much info to put into just one movie.
