11,500 spectators per day at Roland Garros

I’m pleased their are fans. It will add more to it. This us open is sorely lacking without them. I’m looking forward to the french especially with the night matches being used too. I’m glad they finally got a roof and lights too. Should be good!

USO would loved to have had fans attend but was forbidden to do so by Governor Cuomo and the NY Health Department, despite the fact that NYC daily cases are far lower than Paris.

What does it tell us?
It tells us us that the French Federation are willing to sacrifice a few hundred deaths and hospitalizations in order to put on a tournament with fan attendance.

It tells us the French Federation will be laughin' all the way to the bank!

The virus is here anyway with a crowd or not. I support this move. If large groups of people close together can shout & protest daily why can't a crowd properly distanced sit silently?

NYC: Zero fans.
Paris: 11,500 fans per day X 14 days during a huge spike in cases.

Meanwhile .......
Wimbledon : we are going to cancel the tournament , suffer huge loss and give money to players because everybody is suffering in these times ...

Classy for a reason !

if you are organizing this big tournament and still don't have the insurance then you don't deserve to arrange it !

How in the world did Wimbledon have the foresight to obtain pandemic coverage?
In any case, they likely do not have coverage for 2021. Premiums far too expensive.
