You think so? I don't think he was that poor he was just completely outmatched. There's not really a single thing he does better than Novak at this point and instead of trying to go ballistic and punching himself out he chose to die a death by a thousand cuts. He did play not to lose which probably hurt him but he did that in 08 and 2010 too. He just didn't have the confidence until 2012. Definitely no worse than his other straight set losses imo.

Fantastic. You can see the ball go through the court too. Plexicushion was a disgrace in years like 2011-2012. Shouldn’t even be called a hard court.

Would’ve loved to see them play peak for peak.

Edit: yeah there’s no chance 08 or 11 are even in the same league for Fed.
