It's not like anyone else did very well. I don't think Luiz gained enough points to catch you. The way things are going, in another few months, the No.1 player will have about 350 ranking points.

I was trying to do the maths of adding Luiz points and taking off my 1300 or so points but then my head started hurting from all the maths

I think he did fairly well last year, and you are over 2000 points ahead now, so don't think he'll make it.

I'm just excited to be slowly moving up towards a more respectable rank I didn't start playing until Basel last year, I think, so any points I gain make me happy, haha!

Yeah, I'm only adding 500 points to my ranking totals so I don't think number one is realistic right now. Pretty happy with this US Open run, it will get me to my best ranking so far and closer to a place in the Sudden Death Finals!
