I would say Julia, but I don’t think she’s going to make it that far. I think Sabalenka is going to take it all. She’s a really strong player with a killer serve. If she can keep her emotions in check, she’ll take it. @NaomiKonjuhPotapova who do you think will take it?

I hope Petra will take it.
Kinda hope Sloane back in form tho and I don't mind Naomi vs Serena 3.0 final.

Jules not in form nowadays. Last year she somehow gain form on clay, let's see.

Ok, I just saw that line up for doubles and Halep and Goerges are teaming up? They're up against Mladenovic and Babos. That should be a very interesting match. I don't think Jules and Simona have ever paired up before, I'm curious what initiated this team up.

Bianca sure took a step down in court placement.

Stosur gets a much needed win and she’s into the 2R where she’ll play Keys.

Also a juicy 2R in that same section of the draw is Ash Barty vs Yastremska!

Just watch the highlight of Xiyu. Kinda like this leftie Wang @PeteD
Did she model her forehand and game after Nadal?

I also notice the service stand and motion is pretty similar.

Venus needs to learn a 3.5 lady backspin slice serve. At least those can stay below knee level if you get good at them and be harder to put away than a 60mph, chest-high kick serve.

16 year old Osiguwe gets her first main draw win. Had an easy match though over Osaka’s sister who definitely did not deserve a WC.

15 year old Coco Gauff wins the battle of the American WC's.

Was a rematch of the 2018 French Open junior girls which a then newly 14 year old Coco also won.

As a Canadian and long-time tennis fan I'm thrilled for Bianca's recent success. But how can it be more people she will win than Naomi Osaka who's won IW and two slams? That doesn't make sense to me.

If Venus wants to go out on her own terms, she should retire this year. Otherwise she will wash out, which would be sad after her career.
I agree. In fact, there seems to be a flurry of this occurring in tennis. Many older players just don't want to let go. I know the fame and money is wonderful, but sometimes it's prudent to accept it's time to move on.

Double fault from Bianca and Brgu goes up a set and double break 6-4 4-1...

She sounds like a whiny teenager during her coaching session. Wait, she is one. I'm going to voice the unpopular opinion again that the WTA should eliminate coaching and raise its minimum age. Just because girls are physically mature at a younger age than boys doesn't make them adults. I was really horrified to see a 15 year old in the main draw. That almost seems like a child labor violation.

I disagree that younger women shouldn't be allowed to play. Everyone loved Hingis becoming number 1 at about 16 years of age and so many other youngsters too breaking out from a young age. I do agree that on court coaching needs to go, it just makes them look like they can't figure it out themselves. Give the ladies a chance to work their way out of trouble!

Whiny is right. "I feel like I can't do anything right...boo hoo".

This is how a future "great" thinks? Focus on the match. You can pout and shed tears when the match is over.
