The poll will be issued after the draw ceremony, which will be at 6 pm Melbourne Time, ie at 7 am GMT and 2 am EST.

Must be a big letdown to not qualify for main draw if you are from North/South America and EU. The travel time to Australia is a long flight.

The Q3 is brutal:
Osaka, Andreescu, Kvitova, Muguruza, Kerber, Venus, Jabeur.

Top half tho, if Barty couldn't make it I hope Vika wake the f-up and take that spot.

It’s a shame about Yastremska, I’m not saying she would have won, but maybe she would have made it a few rounds. I enjoying her game and watching her play.

Nice long poll.
Who is the guy on here who always votes OTHER and claims victory at the end?
I picked 'other' once again. (No such claims by me ever, however!:D ) After Abu Dhabi Sabalenka was hailed as THE favorite for the Aussie title and now suddenly she's not even in the poll!?? I didn't see her performance against Kanepi - so maybe I'm "off the tracks"- but I still believe in her chances. And then there is one American (not in the poll) I have quite a trust in...
Of course Muguruza seems really strong at the moment, but so many times these pre-slam-blossomers have failed that I believe Mugu won't go all the way either.

Unlike NKP I would like the winner to be genuine person - not anyone's copycat- and also non-airhead. And Venus is supposedly some strong contender?:-D In that part of the draw there is for example Pironkova that actually can still produce good, winning tennis!?

Yes, I know, it was PDJ and NKP picked it up right away ;)
I watched about a set of Sabalenka Kanepi match, Sabalenka was very erratic, playing very nervous. Similar to the match she had with Jabeur in Abu Dhabi (except she won that one)

I think would be good idea for those voting "Other" to at least specify the name in comment section

i rarely pick other hey! This tourney Sabalenka is the strong 'other' for me. She always fold at slams tho, so we shall see.

I watched most of Garbine matches last week, so she's the one to watch. Barty and Osaka average display and I don't really like Serena's game anymore.

I think this tournment more then others really wide open. Some players seem to be in good forum coming in.

Any of the top 20 stand a chance to win. For my dark horse i like Fernandez, Leylah to make it to the second week

Well, Serena's outfit is... something. I don't know how to describe the thing. You have to see it to believe it.

And gets broken to start the match, almost as usual.

Pretty useless set from Siegemund. Won something like 7 points after that shocking first service game from Serena.

Couldn't do anything to counter or pressure Serena at all...

Meanwhile, Kerber has lost the first set 6-0 against Bernarda Pera. And has already lost the first service game in the second serve. Just an awful body language at the moment.

Crap, too many streams I haven't been able to check in on the Kerber match
