Hindsight bias? If thiem gives up that game and loses his service game, people would say he let sonego off too easily and boosted his confidence while putting the pressure back on himself

Well saw it from the score.

Contrary to what many would see this as, I think Thiem lost nothing here. Sonego played out of his skin. Got his match practice and was much better than his timid self of Madrid and 1st set of Fucsovics match.

It's a tough job to make someone hate you on your first attempt. This is not even about him beating Thiem, I absolutely loved his tennis. But His antics especially him getting every mark checked to make Thiem distracted and his celebrations after UEs is simply unbearble.
