Never guess who won today? It is Novak! in straight sets too!
It was kind of bad but he clearly was not putting much effort into this match. So it looks as if he’s in 1st gear still rather than him playing bad?
So it looks as if he’s in 1st gear still rather than him playing bad?
How so? Cause he didn't care or need to put any effort into it? I mean let the audience have some fun and their money's worth? Toy around...One of the ugliest match wins I've ever seen for Djokovic..
I thought the French loved Djokovic?
There are 60 million French people in France, I’m talking about two of them. Do the math.
Shapo still on track to stop Nole.
For real? In this form? What form is that?Imagine djoker in this form...& Big hitter on other side...
He is really lucky that there is no rublev on the other side
LOL... it takes him five sets to just stay even with Khachanov. If he gets through that match, Denis will offer no resistance to Djokovic. Novak is serving too well, way too confident and simply the much better player right now.
Amazing from Novak. Wins without losing a set. He is on FIRE. On track to win Wimbledon after losing only 1 set in R1.
I like this from Novak! Humor is always entertaining! Well done in his answers!Lame answers/jokes.
Actually his C-game would beat Denis, who hasn't the mentality to defeat a great player in a slam semi, especially his first slam semi. And that's assuming he beats KK.More like Novak’s b- game is still good to beat shapo. Pathetic
Seems unlikely that they would allow anti-Djokovic French broadcasters. Did they also call the 14 RG Final? I remember those two basically breaking down in tears when Nadal won.
What would it take to acknowledge Novak is BOAT? He already won RG. He is now winning Wimbledon without breaking a sweat. There is no ATP player that can even challenge him realistically in a best of 5.Nothing amazing about beating a bunch of stiffs but he can only play whose in front of him and he’s capitalizing on it .
Score tells the match pretty much! Will be repeated later on in Tennis Channel after live match is over!Didn’t get to watch this, was working…
How did both players play? Seemed to be NID?
He owns both his main rivals at his peak and now he is crushing the nextgenWhat would it take to acknowledge Novak is BOAT? He already won RG. He is now winning Wimbledon without breaking a sweat. There is no ATP player that can even challenge him realistically in a best of 5.
Let’s them play. Bring the popcorn hahaThat was hilariously average.
Now for more comedy let's have Khachanov and Shapovalov play a 12-12 tiebreak lol...
Doubt it! Shaplovova has never beaten Djokovic in 6 meeting. Shapovalov is playing a 5 setter too! This match was pretty lame.
Will Shapo be stern test?
I am shocked.Novak in 3. Would be shocking if he loses more than 10 games.
Shapovalov with the lefty flat serve can do massive damage on grass. This is real test. Unlike anyone he has faced.Doubt it! Shaplovova has never beaten Djokovic in 6 meeting. Shapovalov is playing a 5 setter too!
Novak will know he needs to bring it. Especially the fact he’s played him 6 times before so he will know what’s requiredShapovalov with the lefty flat serve can do massive damage on grass. This is real test. Unlike anyone he has faced.
Shapovalov impressed me in 2019 AO as well. He was only second guy to take a set from Novak. Other was Medvedev. Yes Novak has beaten him 6/6 but on grass courts the game of Shapovalov gives him chance to beat Novak.Novak will know he needs to bring it. Man your avatar really rocks. Novak looks like a Rockstar in that picture. He owns both his main rivals at his peak and now he is crushing the nextgen
We've seen how he plays vs big hitter in Kevin Anderson. I realize he's ranked really low, but whether hes 100 or 6, he is nomatch for Novak. He also played pretty close to as well as he could in that matchup and still lost in straights.Imagine djoker in this form...& Big hitter on other side...

I understand where you're coming from, but it's not like Denis has incredible grass court results that he can draw from, and the toughest guys hes played, PK and KK, he went 5 sets against. RBA has been playing poorly for months. Novak is a 5-time champ here. The only way I can see him losing is him not arising to the occasion, because Denis will come out firing and he *appears* more consistent here than I've ever seen him. We could've said the same thing about Marton going into this match and he was just outdone, whether the moment was too big for him or Djokovic subtly dominated him from the baseline.Shapovalov impressed me in 2019 AO as well. He was only second guy to take a set from Novak. Other was Medvedev. Yes Novak has beaten him 6/6 but on grass courts the game of Shapovalov gives him chance to beat Novak.
But are you sure? I don't recall experts like BG and DC saying Novak is doing just enough to win the match, being in 2nd gear, etc., this often before (three rounds straight). I do think he played better than the last two rounds, but let me know what you think, as I watched much of it on mute while I was working. He's also mentioning how exhausted he was after the FO throughout interviews and pressers. I hope I'm just overanalyzingIt was kind of bad but he clearly was not putting much effort into this match.
