Adidas 2014

Wow. I am actually very impressed with the designs and colors Adidas has released for Spring 2014.

I am a big Nike fan and always chuckle at how garish Adidas tends to be with their patterns, but I wouldn't hesitate buying any of Adidas's items they released for the spring. The adizero crew looks interesting...almost like it has a cape. I'm excited to see it on Tsonga.

Although I don't find the Barricades overly comfortable, I do like the look of the 8's and these colors really enhance the overall design. I also dig the new Feather III. Looks like they are using the same mentality that Nike did with the cage but in a lighter package.

Thoughts?

The only thing I am excited about is the supposed re-issue of the Barricade 5. According to a different online sports retailer, the 5 is coming back in 2014.

The black and lime green look sharp! I have never worn the 5's, only the 6's and 7's. How do they fit compared to what's out there now? Is there anything comparable?

Just saw a close up of Andy Murray's black "Barricade 8's" at Abu Dhabi.....the mesh on the upper looks like the cage pattern of the new Feather III....not the basket weave looking stuff on the retail version. Hmmmmmm....

It'll be interesting trying them out. It looks like they are beefing up the Feathers a bit. I know many people found the previous version too flimsy.

Strober mentioned that it will release in 2014 and the Adidas Barricade 8 +,I guess similar to what they did with the 6s and changed the ventilation stuff.

Are you sure they have changed the interior of the shoes? Then it's not really a reissue if they did not keep the structural aspects of the B5 which we come to love. Maybe I should wait until the review comes out before committing.

I don't think he's correct, all answers (plus the pictures) I've gotten is it's a proper reissue (not a Nike-style one). Let us know T21d as it may be me who's incorrect.

I ordered these black / green ones this morning from another online retailer who has them available now. They were already sold out of a couple of sizes.....TW says they won't be available until 1/14.

although I've never been an adidas shoe person because of the time it takes the shoe to brake into my foot shape, the summer barricade 8s look incredible, there is a silver/black combo that is stellar.
