Aerogel 4D 2HUNDRED... 16x19? 18X20? Both? Where?

I see only the 16X19 version listed on Dunlop's website. I see only the 18X20 version listed for sale on TW. A local shop, tennisset.com , also shows only the 18X20 version as do many other retailers. There is a 16X19 version for sale in the classifieds.

Why no retailer tha sells both? Are both actually made? Why doesn't TW have the 16X19?

Can someone explain to me what is going on?

the 16x19 is not "available" in the US, yet. Months ago you could get it from Europe. A handful of retailers in the US are only carrying the 16x19 in 4 3/8ths grip only The rumor is that this racquet or some other version of it will be released in the US later this year.

i got mine from a US retailer. I'm not sure why TW US is not selling it.

if you look hard enough online you can find both available for sale in the US and Europe.

the 16x19 is a fantastic racquet. plays alot like the old 6.0 95

can't wait to hear what you think of the 4D 18x20...

BR, have you ever hit with a 200G Muscle Weave? If so, your thoughts...

I am pretty excited about hitting with it. I finally got smart and realized I need to be using softer frames and out of everything I've tried so far, the Prestige mid is the best I've found. However, if I could find a frame with a slightly larger head, while maintaining similar specs and feel, I'd be happy. I doubt the Aerogel can match the solid feel of this Prestige, but we'll see how it goes.

I really don't feel comfortable using anything with an open string pattern, I've found that I like frames with swingweights over 330, over 12 ounces static weight strung, tight pattern, 95 inch or under, and flexy (less than 65, more than 58). The Aerogel 4D 200 seems to have potential. What I'd really like to try is the 4D 200 Tour... That thing has awesome specs.

I have never hit with any other Dunlop other than the M-Fil 300. I was using lighter frames at the time, but I really didn't like the 300. It turned me away from Dunlop for a while. I would like a hit with the 200G though - seems to have a very loyal following.

Looks like the Aerogel I've got coming my way is strung with Pro Red Code and Forten Sweet. I tend to hate hybrids, so I'll eventually rip it out and put in some Top Spin Cyber Flash. I'm thinking 55 lbs?

Looks like you're playing with the 16X19's... Did you try the 18X20? Most of what I've read leads me to believe the 16X19 is significantly lighter, especially in swingweight. Also read a lot about guys having issue getting the spin they expect using the 18X20. Haven't found too many people that have played extensively with both.

I guest i'll listen carefully to what you have to say because this is exactly how i like my racquets too. I'm playing with AG 200 at the moment but the PT 280 i just bought are growing on me; i just need to find the right strings and tension for it.

Keep me posted about the 4D 200.

It will be hard to find the combo of feel and precision of the Prestige... but the 200 has a great following...

I just strung a customers MG Prestige MP with Cyber Flash and Cyber Blue hybrid... i was thinking that might be a good combo in the 200, the 200 should be soft enough to handle Cyber Flash... mid to low 50's sounds good.

I may pick up a 18x20... a teammate of mine plays the AG200 18x20. I t feels good when picking it up... but i have not played with it long enough to comment on it... the 16x19 is lighter, but somewhat stable for a light stick, i added weight to mine... a trimmed leather grip and lead @ 3/9... seems to work for me... still experimenting with strings, hybrids work well, but may go full poly, will try Topspin Concept Pure next.:)
