Agassi is deluded. Fred is a poor man's Santoro, we've been saying this for years.

HTH is meaningless between these two players. Yes, Federer won the last 8 matches of this match up. However, Agassi was 33-35 years old during those match ups. I wouldn't expect an all time great from ages 33-35 to win a single match against another ATG during his prime. That would be unreasonable.

Being an American, it was tough for me to choose between Agassi and Sampras. I typically pulled for Sampras. I liked his demeanor and I loved his play at the net. He was an artist. But I liked both players a lot. When Sampras declined, I started losing interest in tennis, especially when Safin and Hewitt started playing well. Roddick got me back into the sport after a layoff. Then somehow, Federer won me over even though I hated him at first. Federer was this hot-tempered kid with a pony tail that started destroying Roddick, the last great American hope. It sucked big-time.

Once Federer is out of the sport, I think that I will pull for Djoker. I've always liked Djoker, except when he plays against Federer.

Eh, Andre is always putting his foot in this mouth. I agree though it was amazing to watch Fed grow and evolve.

Andre is the reason I started watching tennis, so I will always have some fondness for him. Watching him clay his way back to the top in the late 1990s was really emotional. His douchey image was a defense mechanism for his insecurity, I always thought. He appeared like he didn't have a thought in this head....but he had too many thoughts in his head. And I think that was part of his problem.

yeah I don't know much about andre but iirc was his dad one of those super over the top helicopter parents who kind of may have pushed him into tennis. not that is an excuse for any of his behavior back in the day or anything

Nowhere does Andre say the words "bad Pete Sampras." He can't be quoted as saying that if he didn't bloody say it. Does nobody know what a friggin quotation is anymore?
