Another record for Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic reached the semi-finals of 60.7% of the Grand Slam tournaments he played (34/56), Open era record, tied with Bjorn Borg (17/28).

For Borg, one must consider his participation in the US Open 1972 that almost all sources of statistics omit.

Thats...so important dude...like one of the most important stats any dedicated tennis player can ever dream of...another very important record - is how many times in one's career a tennis player consecutively shown up at grand slam tournament without breaking that streak! Feliciano Lopez the truth GOAT!

Today conditions are so different that such records don't mean much.

If we consider the fact that: 1- the competition Djokovic has to face is far more fierce than that of Borg - of which I am a huge fan - in the 70s, 2- the Serb played twice as many Grand Slam tournaments as the Swedish champion, for a strictly identical ratio, this statistic however says long on his stupendous regularity in the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournaments. But the particularity of any ratio is to post a temporary situation, likely to deteriorate by the end of a career.
