Are current draws ideal for the game?

Just wanted to add...

With no rankings and seed based draws, I don't think the chances of Top 1 vs Top 2 in early rounds goes up sooo much, as if R1 will turn to a blockbuster. NO.

What are the chances that when you close your eyes, and pick up two slips of paper from a bundle of 500, that you happen to get the names of No.1 and No.2? Mathematically that's (1/500) x (1/499) = 1/249500. 1 out of a quarter million almost. Hello..??

Its not like day in and day out Nadal and Fed will get to meet in R1, R2, R3. If it happens, hardly it would be once in 2 years? Hardly...

Nobody is protecting no.1 or 2 ,3 or any ranking but wanting 1 vs 2 in second round at any sport is not right.

It happens in some sports. Many of the cup competitions in football, the FA Cup for instance. Anyone can face anyone and it's a good tournament. People like underdog stories so I don't think nobody would be watching if a lower ranked player got far.

I think it's probably a good idea to keep it as it is in general, but it would be good to see some tournaments mix it up and do that. Think it could be interesting.

Are those competition knockouts? I don't know much but in some of the sports I follow knockout system never pit top ranked against 2 top ranked( in cricket group topper never plays aginst 2 nd highest point getter in knockout stage).

Yeah knockouts. Make a draw after every round. People seem to like it. Always a full stadium for the final.

Agree. I think there should be maybe 1 Masters tournament with a random draw.

The FA Cup third round draw is brilliant. Just imagine how cool that would be in tennis?

If anyone wants to make the effort to see what might happen you can test it out here:
