average high schooler serve?

    i noticed my county's 1st serve speed is very slow id say around 60-80 mph. is that normal for high schoolers?

    Oh wow. Thats a good one. I want to know this one too. I've never seen anyone get a speedometer at a high school match and catch some serves. I also want to know whats the average serve for USTA 16's and 18's are... If you all don't mind... :)

    Well the #1s serve probably ranges from 90-105 M.P.H
    The #6s probably range from 60-90 M.P.H

    It all just depends on the team and the number.

    those speeds are surprisingly slow. especially for the college players

    The top player in our county can serve about 120 max on the first. His average first serve was measured in a tournament, it was 112.4. His second serve was about 65-70( being a heavy topspin/kickserve)

    I belive if i remember correctly his serve was a kicker. I might as well add that that thing kicked like a freakin horse

    i cant prove to you guys but my #1 definitely serves over 110mph for his first serve. and me ( #2 ) my serves are a bit slower. =/ 60-80 mph is really slow =P

    At my high school the number one guy serves 105, maybe 110, maybe a bit more. I got clocked 105 recently, and I'm going to play around #3.
