Backpack tennis bag

Does anybody have any recommendations on a nice large tennis bag with backpack style straps? I am looking for a sturdy one with plenty of space for my racquets, clothes, shoes, car keys, cellphone, strings, overgrips, couple of cans for tennis balls etc.

I saw this on tennis-warehouse.com: the Head Tour Team Super Combi 12-pack bag --- http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageBGHEAD-TT04B6TH.html ; does anybody use this and have any feedback on it?

Your advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
jaykay.

I have the 12 racquet Prince Shark bag (I think that's it - it's dark grey and dark blue). I guess since you looked at the Head bag that you use Head racquets? If so, a Prince bag probably won't do, but this bag is very nice, with lots of external pockets, nice padded and comfy shoulder straps, and has held up really well to several months of being thrown in the trunk, dropped and dragged on the court, and generally being abused.

Head Flexpoint 4 (preferred racquet) and Prince Triple Threat Bandit (backup racquet). If I don't find anything good in Head, maybe I'll look up the Shark tennis bag that you have recommended.

Thanks.

I have the same bag. Super Duper quality and you can switch from backpack straps or the single shoulder strap depending on your mood :)

I bought my son a Volkl tennis backpack for school this year. A backpack would easily carry the items you listed. My son rides his bike to the courts, and it's alot safer than carrying a large tennis bag. By the way, he's 13 and he beats the bejeesus out of the bag, and it's still in good shape!!

I used to use the single strap on the center buckles almost exclusively, since it felt weird to wear a backpack (haven't done that since college over 20 years ago). The bag hangs at a funny angle and I'd catch it on doorways, knock people and planters over, and generally cause a lot of havoc, so I've taken to wearing it like a backpack.

Just wanted to make sure that your bag was like mines in that only one side of the outer pockets has the racquet divider flaps, right?

depending on how many rackets you have (i think that you mentioned you only have 2?) then a 6 pack bag might work for you. i have all the stuff you mentioned above except for car keys (cant drive yet, only 15 :)), and i dont have extra strings and overgrips with me, but those dont take up too much room so you should be ok, and i use a 4 pack head bag (2 rackets). I'd say get the nike 6 pack, at least they look really nice, compared to the other ones, IMO
