None above prime Safin and prime Nalbandian
Well. I would say Nalbandian and Safin on both wings. Rafa, Federer and Sampras has had the three best forehands imo throughout the 90´s and the 00´s. While the best backhands belongs to Wawrinka, Safin, Nalbandian and Kafelnikov, Djokovic f.eks. Safin had monster serve to help him aswell, and hit way harder than Nalbandian mostly. If we take the Roddick match at USO 03. Nalbandian dominated because he could block Roddicks serve back and then dictate with his far superior groundgame when at best, as he pretty much was the first three sets. Safin as Roddick had the serve advantage, but Safin also had a far superior groundgame to Roddick on both wings. Safin could overpower Nalbandian, Nalbandian had a lot of pace in his strokes, but he could get beaten by a powerhouse like Safin, just like Federer has, Nalbandian on the other hand, has better groundstrokes on both wings than Fed. Fed has a good onehander, he can do a lot of different stuff with it. Nalbandian for me was the ultimate ballstriker and all around player. He could hit any shot just as well as Fed i think apart from the serve and maybe the forehand and the slice. Remind you, when Nalbandian was on there wasn´t really a shot that wasn´t inch perfect and textbook, his forehand was imo almost as good as his backhand! He had more forehand Winners than Roddick as far as i know in that match. I can´t praise that Guys game enough, he was not a good frontrunner, but man, when playing his best, he was a monster.
