I voted 2017 AO Final Fed vs Rafa. Mostly because of all nostalgia and insane drama.

But, in terms of quality Wimbledon 2018 is probably best overall.

Greatest by Quality :- Djokorinka 2013 AO
Greatest by Historical Importance :- Fedal 2017 AO
Greatest by Drama :- Djokodal RG2013 / Fedovic Wim2019
Funny, in my opinion 2014 AO between Djoker and Stan was more quality match. Difference is in 2013 public crowd was electrifying and that's why people think it was better match.

Excuse me? How is AO12 final not a unanimous #1? That was the greatest match of all time, not just 2010's.

Agreed that 2013 Djokrinka and 2018 Djokodal are close 2nd and 3rd, but please. AO12 final is a runaway #1.

I liked the Raonic-Nishikori match more. It was like a Sampras-Agassi match.

You can call me crazy, but I think 2012 AO Final was little bit overrated.
1. There was PLENTY of TIME WASTING from both players. If time clock rule was at the time, match would 1,5 hour shorter atleast.
2. Quality wasn't top notch during whole match. Neither Djokovic or Nadal were at his best. Both had few periods when they playing mediocre.
3. There was LOT of UE from both players.
4. Both players, especially Nadal played much better in 1/2 final.

It WAS SPECTACULAR match, simply not.greatest ever or not greatest of this decade.

2018 Wimbledon is best of this decade.

Quality wasn't top notch? Um no. Both were not at their best? No. This match make 2018 Wimbledon look like child's play. I know because I watched it recently. The movement, aggression and defense to offense from both players was off the charts and I could care less about their time wasting. They needed time to catch their breath after trying to destroy each other point after point. You are clearly mistaken.

I don’t think it makes 2018 Wimbledon look like child’s play. Maybe it was slightly better. Wimbeldon 2018 was a hell of a match itself. Movement was so much better in AO for Nadal his speed has gone down so much.

I think movement was better for both in AO and Djokovic was much more aggressive than he was in that Wimbledon match. I thought their atheleticism was crazy in that AO match and I don't think anybody on Earth would have beaten Nadal that day except for Djokovic. That's how good that match was.

Terrific list, including your honorable mentions. Well done. I'll have to think a little more. I like how Het broke it down, but feel that I have to find room for Djokodal AO12. I guess I'd have to rewatch that and both of the "Stanovic" 13/14 AO matches to decide on that spot, for quality.

What great shots there were in AO 2012 final though? I don't really remember any great points which are remembered for a long time. The quality in Wimbledon 2018 semifinal was much higher IMO. This is why that loss also hurts much more than the one in AO 2012.

Nadal had big a dip in the 3rd set in the AO match, but it peaked clearly higher than their Wimbledon epic which had like no dips in quality really. Kinda to be expected, both guys were better movers in 2012 and probably at their physical zenith compared to 2018. Nadal especially is noticeable slower in the 2018 match, probably would have drawn a few more errors from Djokovic with 2012 speed/defence.

Probably AO 2013 Djokrinka for me. It's better to have at least one attacking player in a match than 2 grinders like the AO 2012 final.

AO 2012 was a great match, but not the greatest of this decade or the greatest of all time.

Djokovic vs Del Potro Wimby 2013 SF should be up there.

Anyway RG 2013 SF followed by AO 2012, Wimb 2018 SF. If only the 2 Djokodal semi-finals were actual finals (even tho they were the real finals)

Actually it's close between RG 2013 and AO 2012 but RG 2013 edges it cuz of that insane 5th set where Nadal was hitting winners like they were nothing and Djokovic was giving it everything in that set but Rafa was a man possessed. He just wouldn't let go.

Wimbledon 2018 is the best match of the decade. The reason is that no other match has a more beatiful and impressive shot-selection in the big stage. The RG 2013 match was too brutal, but we have witnessed similar matches like RG 2012. The AO 2012, while impressive from an athletic point of view, lacked the magical point construction of Wimbledon 2018.

It is actually Djokovic who was noticeably slower to me in that 2018 match, maybe because he wasn't strong enough physically yet. I thought Nadal moved better in that match than he did on grass in a long time. If I had to choose which one is my favorite I would choose 2018 over 2012 for the simple fact that 2018 was the resurgence of Djokovic after falling completely off the map but to me 2012 is the better match.

Djokovic was outshined by Nadal off the ground in that 2018 match. It was his serve that saved him. In 2012, they went toe to toe off the ground in an insane battle and I definitely don't agree about the quality in 2018 being much higher.

Anyway I loved fedal 2017. It had all, quality, drama, history.
It did have quality, but not so much as other options from the poll. Even the 2017 AO SF between Nadal and Dimitrov had more pure quality IMO. It also had drama, but the Wimbledon 2019 final had far more drama. What the 2017 AO final specially had is historical relevance. It is arguably the match with more historical relevance of the last decade.
