Big 12

Oklahoma is better this year. TCU is still very solid. UT, BU, TCU and OU are all pretty even. Tech and OSU are pretty good as well but they are a step below the top 4. Still, they are capable of beating any of the top 4.

Baylor was supposed to play at Wake today, but the match was cancelled because Baylor had injury issues. That seems odd - certainly an NCAA basketball or football game wouldn't be cancelled because of injury issues. Plus, Baylor has 11 guys listed on their roster. Anyone have any insight into this?

Because Baylor cancelled, Wake will play Tenn Tech twice today, which is nice of TT to do. I watched the first match today. TT has some guys that can hit the ball - the guy that played 4 singles had a really big forehand.

Roy Smith is playing qualifying of the New York open right now as I post this. So he wouldn't have been "available" for Baylor today. I think I read the official reason was "sickness" rather than injury though.

Interesting. The Wake release says "injury and illness" and the Baylor release says "illness" with "flu-like symptoms."

Interested in Baylor situation. Benitez also on roster. Any idea if he will play and if Smith will be back? Talk about solid lineup if so

Yes, I am also interested in that. Benitez hasn’t played 1 match yet. And Roy Smith hasn’t played in a couple matches

Sounds like it was a pretty epic match between Oklahoma State and San Diego yesterday. Particularly at #1.
https://usdtoreros.com/news/2019/2/...ilient-in-victory-against-oklahoma-state.aspx

August Holmgren of USD led the 3rd set 3-0 but when it became evident that that was going to be the deciding point for the match Matej Vocel of Ok State rallied to win 4 straight games and take the 4-3 lead. But Holmgren turned the tide again to capture the last 3 games of the match to clinch the 3rd set 6-4 and the match 4-3 for the Toreros.

what a performance by Adam Steinberg's team
Alex Gruskin of cracked racquets has to be going bananas
Both TCU men and women took upset losses at home over the last few days. Going with a Feddie excuse and blame it on Mardi Gras.

Texas and TCU are so far ahead of the pick this year on the men’s side.

Baylor has really fallen off, Oklahoma and OK State down a bit. Texas Tech about the same as always.

Baylor is surprising. Have not followed them closely, but I thought they picked up a few 5th year transfers which should have kept them higher in the ranks.

Oklahoma State is much better this year than they were last year. Dustin Taylor had to do a complete rebuild after all of the 2021 players left. South Florida transfer Chase Ferguson has helped. Isaac Becroft has really been playing well for them. Tyler Zink is a really good doubles player. I believe that Oklahoma State has a win this year over Tulane. Tulane beat Auburn earlier this year.
