No, I didn't forget. I was just making a points comparison. Obviously Murray is doing well as well. My point was that Tsonga is not overrated just because he lost the match yesterday. I don't think anyone is saying he's going to break into the top four this year. Or at least most aren't. But he's definitely a solid top ten player and results show that.

They were both pretty bad loses. Obviously Paris meant more as it was the final and there was a bagel involved. But the first set wasn't that bad in the Paris match.

Either way, I hope Rafa can start evening out that h2h.

Are you talking about Nadal vs. Tsonga? You do realize Nadal is 3-1 against him right? Tsonga beat him only once in his entire career when he was white hot. Other than that it's all Nadal. It's really amazing how people can repeat things that aren't true so often, that people just start accepting it. There is a fairly well known saying regarding that...

I am watching it at ATDHE.FR. Try it.

I was watching the Haas match on there a bit earlier, but I don't really generally care for watching TV on my computer; I'd rather it be on my TV. And in this case, there's no reason not to broadcast the Haas-Djokovic match. The FSN coverage sucks anyway. They should put it permanently on the Tennis Channel so they can devote more time to it....four hours of tennis isn't going to cut it.

and lo he jumpeth in with much fury, though after spending the time to read what was being replied to it would probably be noted that Seffina was referring to Nalbandian.

Go go Tommy, make the break!

Don't be silly.

I saw no mention of Nalbandian in the post, but sure that makes sense. That's why I asked if she was referring to Tsonga since it wasn't entirely clear but that's who she had been talking about. Yet that last sentence made no sense, which is why I commented on it. I'm not going to read this entire huge thread to look for context on one post after all.

It was one post above Seffinas and the quote that started it was in that post, but not to worry, I'm glad it's clear now.

Tommy missed a big chance at 15-40 when Novak caught the net, shame he couldn't put it away.

Out of interest, has anyone been watching Melzer/DelPo instead? Seems they are pretty delicately poised now, 2-6 6-2 1-1

I know what you mean. I sure prefer tv coverage but we don't get it out here very often and then its typically in a language I don't understand. So I usually watch the action on tv and the commentary on my lap top, given the chance.

Well, she did mention the Paris match and Tsonga has never played Nadal in Paris thus one can make the assumption she was referring to Nalbandian.

And Marat right after Del Potro. Just don't tell me that he will finally get into the 4th round. But this is a real good chance for him. Isner played over his head v. Monfils.

Yeah you are right, it looks like Safin might get started before Troicki. What the hell are Azarenka and Peer doing there - trying to moonball each other to death? It's taking them half hour to play each point.

Isner playing against Safin is a joke. Isner needs to change his attitude if he wants to play at the pro level.

I do see Troicki beating Nalbandian though...

Melzer one break up, hitting some scary forehands. DelPo on his way out.

Not yet, great BH return and Juan breaks. Fight is on.

Just out of curiosity, Haas was #2 in May 2002, something that Djokovic has not been able to achieve.

Back when Lleyton Hewitt was the best player in tennis.... That says a lot about the state of tennis at the time. Djokovic would have stood a good chance of being number 1 back then.

Prime Hewitt, while not on par with prime Federer, was not a player to scoff at by any means.

I'm well aware of Nadal and Tsonga's h2h. In fact, I have watched all four of their matches. A few of them multiple times.

My post was pretty clearly referring to Nalbandian as the post I quoted was referring to the Nalbandian/Nadal Paris Final being a bigger beatdown than the Nadal/Nalby Madrid Quarters. To even it out, he would have to win the next two times they meet. That was my hope.

I like Nalbandian quite a bit and hope he has recovered from his tonsilitis and we have ourselves a great match.

If Nalbandian shows up to play then Nadal is going home early. Nalbandian's style of play directly counters Nadal.

I know. He has never even faced a break point when playing Nadal. He really attacks that second serve well. However, the time of the year, the location, Nalby's lackluster year, and Rafa's current form give Nadal a good chance of winning.

Of course both have to win their third round matches first.

I can't believe those stupid ads during breaks. I really find them offensive and I am not at the stadium.

I kind of hate them too. Make me a little embarrassed to be American. You'd never hear that at RG (or even Monte Carlo, if it's a question of comparing Masters to Masters tournaments).
