Canas blacked out racket?

So I'm watching Eurosport and there was a short interview with Canas at Roland Garros and ofcourse some pictures of him practising (at Roland Garros).

The pictures of him practising showed that he was practising with a blacked out Wilson.

How long has he been playing a blacked out racket, or was I watching old pictures? The other question ofcourse would be, what kind of racket is it? It seemed to have a thinner beam than his previous racket, but I'm not sure about that, maybe optical illusion because of the black paint.

(BTW: Wilson is sort of creating a hype with all these blacked out rackets I think, maybe even overhyping)

Yes, probably he will be using his old ps, however I think is pretty good that he has gained enough atention to get his "own" blacked out racket and eventually a new pj.

If you watch him hit his 2-hander, his hands are very spread apart, but he makes it work for him. It is very similar to Xavier Mallise in this respect.

I think it's 29 in. I don't know if it is 28.5, maybe 28. How long is Xavier Mallise's Diablo XP, 28 in.? It doesn't appear to be any longer then Mallise's racquet.

Canas uses the 6.1. As for the 6.0 95, Gilles Muller uses it(PJ of course). There might be one or two others. You can spot the 6.0 95 by the 16x18 string pattern and the first cross starts quite a bit higher than on the 6.1 lineage of racquets. The 6.0 also has the box beam of course.

dear all.. dont mean to be a know it all.. but i just was at the french open and saw the rackets at the stringers joint ..among the rackets getting strung one stood out .. looked old schoolish .. canas is using a pro staff sixone 85or maybe a 90 .. possibly a st vincent .. they were not yet blacked out .. but the stringer who i spoke to said they were for guillermo canas.. !

A sixone 85 or 90, from st Vincent and not blacked out. Could you describe to me what that looks like? Because I don't know what you saw but the racket on the picture in this thread is a Classic 6.1 shape and nothing like a PS85

guys .. my mistake ..i mean a pro staff classic sixone.. and it seem to be th e longer version ie.e the 27.5 inch lonbody or perhaps an extendedn 27 inch long one / alt. a cut down 27.5 inch .. looks like 27.25 or 27.3 inches wehn i gauged it with my eyes.. again sorry for my mistae .. but it is for sure rounded at the edges at the frame .. so not a st vincent pro staff..!

For what it's worth, his racquet seems to have 'X Factor' written on the inside of the head near the top. Maybe it's a k, but it sure looks like an x. I'm not particularly interested, but I noticed it while browsing through Yahoo's photos a few minutes ago.
