There is a famous (or infamous) thread from 2009 written by Suresh in which he called the 2009 Cincy Open the "Real Slam" cause the semi finals featured Murray Djokovic Nadal and Federer unlike all of the 4 majors.

He then went on to proclaim whoever won that years Cincy as the best player. Then Federer won it and he kinda went back on his word and it's been in TTW history forever.

I always say that everyone who shows up has beaten everyone who stayed home.

All the tourneys I've won (various sports: shooting, fishing, tennis, etc.) depended upon a bit of luck in that no one better showed up for them.
