comfort of BFII vs. BF III

I bought my first Nike BF shoes last summer while playing tennis in France. They are BF III's and are the most comfortable and overall best tennis shoes that I've worn to date.

I see that TW has BF II's, but I can't find them in a stores in my area to try or compare against BF III before ordering.

I need to know if the fit and comfort of BF II is the same as BF III before I order. Has anyone tried both?

I have only worn the BFII, but I trust what TW said about the lasts. According to TW, the BF3 had less toe box width than the BF2, so they were not made on the same last. Since the BF2 has a minimum last width that will fit my forefoot, I never tried the BF3.

I'd try to google the old customer reviews from Tennis Warehouse to see the perspective from people who've worn both.

BF3 has less toe box. My outside toes were getting smashed and they ended up black and blue. So, I switched to BF2 and don't have that problem anymore. BF2 is like wearing a sock. Very comfortable.
But I think the BF2 were a bit more stable in the ankle area.
Either way, can't go wrong with either. Both are comfortable for my feet.

I have the BFII and just bought a pair of BFIII because it was on clearance (too cheap to pass up). The other posters are right, the III has less toe box and is not as comfortable. The sole also feels stiffer, too. If you like the III, you should have no problem with the II.

Breathe Free II's all the way. I am on my 3rd pair and I couldn't ask for a better shoe. They've never failed me.

I tried on the BFIII's when they came out and they felt like toys. :???:

To me, BFII's play and feel like a serious shoe.
