cross string cheaper than X-one and NXT

I'm keeping topspin cyberflash as my main string, but for long-term, i need a cheaper string to put in my crosses. I've used NXT and technifibre x-one biphase, and i like them both, although the x-one lasted longer and was a bit softer. what is a cheap multi that is nice and soft but will still be semi-durable that i can use for my crosses?

I use Alpha Gut 2000 16 as crosses with Gosen Polylon SP 17 mains. Alpha Gut 2000 is soft and helps the feel. Alpha Gut 2000 is $5.90 a set at TW.

It would help if you would define what you mean by semi durable. 10 hours of play? 15? 20?

Pro Supex Maxim Touch is soft, inexpensive, and should be reasonably durable as a cross string in 16 gauge.

Wilson Sensation is also soft and inexpensive, and might work as a cross string.

Klip Excellerator is a couple of bucks a set cheaper than X-1 or NXT, but plays very close to them and has good durability for a multi.
