I find it strange that all the players on your list are current stars. Dont you think new young guns like Grigor Dimitrov and Yuki Bhambri are gonna become stars. Also, do you think Federer is still going to be playing in 2015?

No, not strange at all. The focus isn't on the top-25 in five years, but where the current top-25 will be at then. So it could look like this:

1 Federer, Roger (SUI) Retired
2 Djokovic, Novak (SRB) Top-5
3 Murray, Andy (GBR) Top-5
4 Nadal, Rafael (ESP) Retired
etc...

Good topic!!

For reference, I want to see how the top 25 of Jan 2005 are doing.

1) Federer --1
2) Roddick --top 10
3) Hewitt -- top 20
4) Safin -- retired
5) Moya -- semi-retired (506)
6) Coria -- retired
7) Henman -- retired
8) Agassi -- retired
9) Nalbandian -- 140
10) Gaudio -- retired

Wow half the top ten are retired. With Agassi and Henman, it was almost a guarantee that they would be. I don't think anyone would have predicted Coria and Gaudio to have retired. Only six months prior, they had played a Slam final. Plus they were young.

11) Johannson - 356 (virtually retired)
12) Canas -- 233 (almost retired?)
13) Robredo -- 15! (kudos!)
14) Grosjean -- 500+ (almost retired)
15) Youzhny -- 20!
16) Haas -- 17!
17) Pavel -- Retired
18) Massu -- 99
19) Spadea -- almost retired
20) Hrbaty -- 161
21) Kiefer -- 111
22) Ljubicic - 24!
23) Gonzalez -- 12
24) F Lopez -- 33
25) Novak -- Retired

11 of the 25 are retired, with a couple predominantly relevant in challengers alone.
