Argentina 4-1. The singles rubbers are too strong for the dutch. I have no info about their doubles team, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Feo partido la verdad. Lo estoy viendo por TyC. Bonadeo esta indignado (casi medio imbancable)... la verdad que no son buenos tiempos en la Davis. No nos veo muy lejos este año con este clima.

Party ugly truth. I am looking for TyC. Bonadeo this outrage (almost half imbancable) ... the truth that they are not good times in the Davis. We do not see very far this year with this climate.

No chance for us Dutchies.. Argentina have -by far- the better players..

Tennis in The Netherlands has been in a slump for years after the exits of Krajicek, Schalken and a little bit Verkerk (onedayfly). Our hopes are set on Haasse and on Thiemo de Bakker, who imo has more talent than Haasse and should be able to get to the top 40 or so.

Argentina seals the deal with a straight sets win on Saturday :)

Czech R. or France, next :)

And both away, right? In that case, despite having better players, I think I prefer France. At least they won't put a court so fast you can't even see the ball. Very difficult either way.

Tsonga, mate.
In fact, with Gasquet and Tsonga, I wouldn't be surprised if France chooses something like grass. Specially since Clement is quite good on grass, and Llodra is always troublesome.

I prefer Czech Rep. Even on carpet.

i'll have to agree with guaseli here. Plus, france has monfils in great shape as well.

Are there any grass courts in France where they could organise the event?

They gotta have some grass courts, don't they? I heard they invented the game of tennis. They must have been playing on grass then. Or were they? I'd be surprised to find out that they had terrebateau(?sp?) back then or, even if they did, whether they played tennis on it.

I don't know, bro. France has by far better players, but his team it not as uniform as Czech Rep. They can't select a surface that suits them all in the same way because Gasquet, Tsonga, Simon and Monfils are all very different players. On the other hand Berdych and Stepanek knows that a very fast court will suit both of them just fine. No wonder France is having trouble down there. Anyway both teams are really toughs opponents for a quarter final.
