Djokovic = Lance Armstrong, Fake, *******, Xenophobic remarks about Serbians, Boring, fakes injuries, quitter

Nadal = Doper, Butt Picker, Whiner, Bad Looser, Dr Fuentes, ********, Fake Injuries, Silent ban

Federer = Egotistical, negative H2H vs his main rival hence not GOAT, *******, Shankerer, Hasbeenerer, Mouthy, Bad Looserer, Recently a Doper-erer

Murray = Choker, never will legit win a slam, won a slam during a hurricane, Whiner, Pusher, Ugly Freak, Buckeroo, Boring, Xenophobic remarks regarding his origins

The same near slanderous remarks constantly about people who pick up a racket and do genial things with a tennis ball.

Do people on here legitimately watch tennis? Do people actually respect what these 4 have achieved? Or this site has turned into some one upsmanship hate fest full of pubescent trolls? I'm not one to take the moral high ground either :oops:

Sure it is. Nothing wrong with having personal favourites. But the people the OP is talking about seem to spend all their energy on hating the players they don't like rather than supporting the ones they do! They're not proper tennis fans. They're just saddoes and freaks! :twisted:

We badly need some kind of 'Fan Wars' sub-forum where all the playground wit can be annexed. One of TW's rival sites recently instituted a policy banning puerile, ad hominem attacks on players.

Whatever the solution, it would be good to feel that something was being done instead of expecting users to button mash 'add to ignore list' every other thread.

You don't have to like everyone. If anything, these supposedly large hearted lovers of tennis who love the game as opposed to specific players are a buncha hypocrites.

Alot of the so called "hate" on this forum is usually said with a jokey nature thrown in, its not really as serious as you make it seem and as people have already said, noone here supports every player. There's obviously going to be people who get happier when certain players lose and will make jokes about it. You just have roll with it and try to avoid feeding the trolls.

I still think everyone on this forum is a true tennis fan tho and dont just come to troll. Hell, Iv have been guilty of poking fun of a certain player on this forum numerous times but i still respect what he's achieved and concider myself an avid tennis follower in general and im sure that view is shared by many others here.

I don't understand the general mentality on this forum at all.

Where apparently liking one player means you have to detest their nearest rivals, sometimes with inexplicable more glee at them losing rather than the player you like winning.

Yep. They come up with silly arguments to say 12 is better than 17.

It took me a while to get used to it, and I certainly don't enjoy it since I'm not one to hate on players, but I've found that there really aren't any posters who consistently get under my skin. Djokovic has always been my favorite, and I'm still able to have some fun conversations with a poster like Clarky who makes no bones about how much she dislikes him.

I can't think of a single player in the top 20 I don't enjoy watching, and genuinely like. Actually, I'm not a fan of Raonic right now, but he's young and dumb. I might be able to give him a pass, maybe ...

Frankly I think it is rather strange that Murray is mentioned here with the Illustrious big three. After all Murray is currently not even top 10 material.

Not strange at all when you consider that so many posters on here, especially you, seem to feel the need to keep on attacking him despite the fact that he is no longer a member of the Big 4. BTW, saying there never was a Big 4 is yet another thing Murray-haters like to keep arguing and another thing the OP could have added to his list.

If you don't think he's worth attacking, then why do you keep on attacking him?
