Here's a thread for all discussion on the thriller match between unbeaten Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray in the 2011 Rome Semifinals. You can discuss your thoughts on Murray's and Djokovic's performance and your prediction on the final tomorrow. Even though Novak was the victor, I think it was one of Murrays best performances to date. If you can think of any matches this season that topped this one feel free to share.

Djokovic d. Murray 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (3)
WHAT A MATCH!!

Very disappointed with the outcome.
Novak should have lost this one in 2 and go to Paris relaxed, rested and ready. Let Murray and Nadal kill each other in the final. Who cares about Rome, Nadal can have his cake draw title.

We want RG!

With any luck Novak is getting plently of rest right now and will be ready to entertain tomorrow in what I hope will be another thrilling match against Nadal. Although I hope Nadal wins tomorrow, I hope it's a tight contest keeping me on the edge of my seat like today. Novak probably needs this tournament under his belt if he wants to keep the pressure on Nadal in Paris. Plus, I'm sure the undefeated streak means alot to him.

Yes I know, however I don't want a thrilling close Nadal - Djokovic match tomorrow. I want it in the RG final.
I would trade both Madrid and Rome and undefeated streak for the RG title. I know anyone would do the same. Novak should have been smarter and sacrificed Rome and undefeated streak for better preparation and full rest for RG which would give him the best change to get it.

No need to be overly dramatic. Djokovic will be tired for tomorrow's match for sure but then he has a week to recover before Paris. He'll be fine for the start of the French.

Winning is a strange habit. Once you get addicted, you just cannot stop easily.

Unfortunately, Nadal will help Novak tomorrow getting rid of that burden ...

It's weird how, since losing the AO final,Murray has sucked on hard courts (his best surface) and produced his best tennis on clay (his worst)!!

Still,it's good to see Murray making progress on this surface. He's now made three clay semis, two this year and was a couple of points away from making his first final.

Can't wait for tomorrow to see how Djokovic will shape up against Nadal in their 4th Masters final. Will he be too tired to get the better of the the Clay King this time as many here think? I don't know.Time and again we assume he's reached his limit and can't go any further.Time and again we've all been proved wrong.
So,unlikely as it may seem,I'm not ruling Djokovic out for breaking Nadal's heart yet again.Experience tells me it's never wise to rule him out...ever!

You're right. Djokovic has made the impossible look easy time and time again. Personaly if both play to the best of their ability tomorrow, Nadal will come out on top. Last week Nadal played poorly and Djokovic played superb, reulting in straight sets spanking.
