Maybe because usually the big 3 blow through the early rounds anyways, so the chances aren't going to be much different if the main risk is quarters onward?

Yeah, it's probably because he was more irratic in the previous rounds compared to the other favorites, hasn't really shown a convincing Slam winning form yet. Although Djokovic likes to surprise with that.

Also, what about Alcaraz's odds? How much better are they now compared to the start of the tournament? Can that affect other odds? I'm not into betting but curious.

The historical aspect of this tournament seems to already have visible effects on Djokovic, he's (understandably) very tense and losing sets for no reason, and on the other hand the bottom half opened up completely, Medvedev basically has a free pass to the final. Zverev looks extremely confident and solid.

Djoker is living dangerously. Cannot just expect to just raise your level on demand. Is it possible? Yes, but you want to be playing at a consistently high level. Should have put that clown Brooksby away much earlier. Not an impressive victory... Needs a solid performance against Berry to prepare for Zverev. Cannot head into Zverev match playing at this level.

Very true. I'm nervous about tomorrow to be honest. Djoko looked like he was struggling with Brooksby. I was not happy about that.
Hoping he turns it around and sharpens up. Berry will be tougher.

It is because the "house" needs bets on both sides of the outcome. Most likely people were not betting on Joker, so they had to give better odds to get people to place bets.

He is not at his best and can fall to any of the remaining players. He was stretched to 4 sets by 2 teenagers and both probably outside top 100. The level isn't there.

It’s because he’s odds at the start are based on Zed, Med and Berrettini making it. Most likely 1 if not 2 would go out the odds are put short at the start but due to them all looking likely to make it the odds have lengthened

thats because of the form he has shown so far. He has inexplicably dropped sets against players he is not expected to drop. His form actually looks worrying more than anything else. Not surprised about the odds at all. They are reflective of what's about to come.

People play by what they see. He somehow still seems to be a favorite though.. All these unwanted sets add mileage and wear& tear at his age.

if he can beat Beretinni convincingly, it can change as he goes into semis. Keeping fingers crossed.
