Hi, im thinking of buying a dunlop aerogel 300 or dunlop aerogel 300 tour. Can you guys compare them and give pros and cons of each?

I think the OP is asking for a comparison of the two, not the pros/cons of both...

It's probably going to come down to whether you have a strong preference for 16x19 (4D300) vs 18x20 (4D300 Tour). When I tried both shortly after they were released, I actually liked the way the Tour model swung better. The non-Tour feel was more to my liking though, and since I prefer more open string patterns, I went with the non-Tour.

Yeah I am sorry I got all excited there I was talking about the non-tour version as well. And i agree with the above statement, though i haven't hit with the 300 tour most 18x20 string patterns are more demanding and stiff and if you truly like the specs of the tour more, then like i mentioned the non tour is very welcome to lead customization and thats why many people on this forum prefer the original 300. I hate it when people tell me to do this but use the search tool, there are a TON of threads about these rackets and a few specific users that could prolly give you even more info on these rackets.

Love50 is pretty much spot on.

It's really down to the string pattern and weight as to which racquet you prefer.

The 300 can be leaded up to Tour weight (and more) fairly easily, as long as you know what you're doing. Obviously with the Tour there's less room for weight adjustment if you're already reaching the upper range of the weight which you can manage.

Bear in mind, neither racquet plays particularly well in stock form without adding lead.

I agree with Love50, my biggest determining factor between the two was string pattern. I hit flat and play much better with the 16x19. The tour was ok, but not as playable to me then the non tour. I absolutely love the standard AG300. I have about 4 grams of lead at 10 and 2, 6 grams up and down the handle and it's awesome. In the winter I add a bit more for stability. I didn't really care for the 4D300, the head played a little stiffer then the AG300. I love the flexibility of the racket. I think they are both great sticks and can both be customized very easily to fit your desires.
