Ping @teachingprotx !

Here are the specs for both racquets, measured as they are in the pics.

Dunlop Max 200G Pro
Weight: 388 g/13.69 oz
Swing Weight: 368
RA: 46
Balance: 31.75 cm
Length: 68.5 cm/27 in

Dunlop Max 200GL Pro
Weight: 315 g/11.11 oz
Swing Weight: 291
RA: 41
Balance: 32.5 cm
Length: 66 cm/26 in
My recollection is that the GL was often bought for the sons of rich club players, as an almost matching pair. The GL was something like £65 compared to the normal 200G's price of £75, which was a lot of money in 1990.

Did you ever hit with it?

What's interesting is that chopping 1 inch from the handle (the hoop appears identical) leads to a 70g weight difference. There must have been some significant tail weighting in the 200G.
Yes, the hoops are pretty much identical, as far as I can see. There might be a minute difference in width, though, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Plus I just noticed your 200G above is at the heavy end of the range (was it an LM or an M?). If Dunlop started with SL spec 200G models, then they'd only have been chopping off around 30g to make the GL.

Is it marked on the frame LM? I’ve never seen an LM Max300i.
Dino is referring to his frame above, which is a MAX 200G. But I have an LM 300i, marked with the usual black on black sticker. It's an absolute truncheon at 380, 32.25cm. I much prefer an L around 370, 31.75. I've seen a few M 200Gs too, which must be horrific.

Can you provide us with a pic of the junior kneissl ?
I have played with
Dunlop 200 max g 26
Rossignol f 200 26
Adidas Gtx pro 26
Wilson pro staff 85 in a 26
Estusa provantech 26
Just to name a few and all of them at least to me played even better than their adult counterpart
All of them were just lighter and some even flexier than The 27 version

Wow how interesting.the only junior 26 kneissl I’ve had that was from these lineage was a white star that looked exactly like the old Lendl frame but was made entirely of wood ! It was awesome!
Someone stole it outta my proshop sadly

Yeah, none of the Kneissl experts seem to know about it. It's a bit strange being 26 inch but not having any Junior/Ladies markings. Then again, at 350g strung for an L model is more like an adult racket. Perhaps it has a chopped down handle, but I don't want to take off the original butt-cap to check.

I hits a solid ball in the sweetspot, but is pretty poor outside. Is easy to serve with, but lacks power on rallying. I estimate the flex at 55 and SW at 335. I will be e^£&iing it soon.

How was the 200GL? Does it have enough mass / SW for a proper rally?

Aww nice !!
The gl max 200g was way way better hitting experience than any regular max 200g was . I always thought the max 200 g was just too darn clubish in weight.
So for me the gl was better but it still was hefty mine was 11.6 strung so I actually prefer my rackets to be well under 11oz ..

QC back in the day. I have a Dunlop 200G, and a 200G PRO. Different grip sizes, different era's, but both exactly 282grams.

Back in time I had to sell my cat to buy first generation 200G (Well, that's what teenagers do) Within two years in a teenager frustration I hit the post and that was then end of my 200G. Decades later I collected four from **** (Different iterations, including a pro) to redeem myself. I was surprised that they don't feel 85 but more like 93 and the power that you can generate with them. However I only practiced with them, never played points out of fear that my game will be too flat with them.

Go and buy another cat, and play matches with the 200G; warm up with a Standard and it will feel like a Pure Drive.
