Experiences with new Fischer Magnetic speed pro number one

Just had an extensive hitting and match play session with the new fischer.
Quite pleasant experience the ground strokes were superb, hit deep balls all night going within inches of the baseline. My opponent a solid 4.5 player had more trouble with strokes hit with this rkt compared to my Head FP Tour and despite some comments I can generate some great pace with the Head. The Fischer however was just perfect in regard to control and pace.

Serving: No extra power here but again better control. I could blast 1st serves down the T on the line repetitively, especially serving to the deuce court( I am right handed). This has not been the case with my other rkt. Also decent slice and topspin. Overall could move the ball around the box very effectively with this rkt.

Volleys: Did not come to net that often as my opponent is a classic retriever who loves a target. So I will have to reserve comments on this til I play doubles.

So overall I was very pleased with the Fischer it produces a heavy ball with a crisp feel to the stroke yet very comfortable and great control. I believe it is this combination of a crisp feel and yet comfortable is what I am looking for. Arm saftey is a key and the volkls are certainly arm safe yet very mushy You never get the feeling of yeah great powerful shot.

So my thoughts always welcome others. Good hitting.

TennisMD,

I remember exchanging some comments on this board about a year ago concerning weighting an APD. I've played with that frame (at 12oz) until a couple of weeks ago. While I hit the ball well, I just didn't like the way it felt.

I've been playing for a couple of weeks with a Volkyl DNX 8. I added one oz
( approx 2 & 10 and handle), strung it at 53 with ALU and it's a great setup for me.

If you're still looking around, you might demo this one.

I apologise for hijacking the thread.

Is this the raquet that Baghdatis uses? Wao, it looks like he's selling stuff. Hope he keeps going strong.

The dnx 8 and the Fischer M speed are very different racquets. The dnx 8 is a pure drive style racquet, the fischer is a 12 oz player style frame.

I recently switched to this racquet from the Ncode 6.1 95. honestly I demoed it based on the TW Review and then bought three, but was psyched when Bags was using it (or something like it at the AO). It is a legit racquet.
It is a vast improvement over the Pro # 1. There are plenty of posts on how it plays, the racquet is sweet.

Indeed we did, I enjoyed the APD, but a trend toward arm soreness and I agree with you about feel,so I shelved it this Aug. I have been playing with Head FP since will see how a protracted demo session with the fischer goes in changing my mind.
