It's been a few days since I last posted on this board but things have been clearing up and I've been getting her counselling. More importantly I made my mother go with me to the local casinos/clubs and she signed a "self exclusion" agreement.
This way we can all sleep easier at night knowing she won't go again. Australian law here has it that once you sign this agreement, should you enter the casinos/clubs again, you get fined $5500 and/or get imprisoned for 12 months. In addition to this, there is no point in trying to sneak in anyway because after signing this agreement, she is not permitted to win any money from the casinos/clubs.
So hypothetically she goes into the club/casinos and wins a jackpot, they won't give her the winnings because of her agreement. Anyway, going out to play tennis now.
