Since 2014, Federer has won 24 titles including 3 Grand Slams which has added to his legacy and given him some special moments like reaching WN1. Be grateful given Federer was looking toast in 2013.

Insofar that it has been a weak era, it has also helped Fed tremendously, who won 3 majors in the last few years. Would you trade a stronger era for Fed ending up with 17 instead of 20 majors?

What about Nadal fans watching Novak take out Fed in three major finals in 2014-2015? Or Novak taking out Fed in 2016 in the SF of the AO? Without those three finals losing to Novak, Fed could easily be at 23 slams now, making Nadal's chase a lot harder. What about Fed taking out Nadal in 2017 at the AO, making it harder for both to catch Fed?

Obviously two guys 5 and 6 years younger are going to be a bigger factor in dominating, but it's hardly as if even now Fed is irrelevant.
