Baggy's going to have to pick it up fast now, from 40-15 up, he gave Fed that game. I think if he loses this tiebreak, Fed will start steamrolling.

(Fed takes first set now...)

Oh well, that's that...

Federer playing ultimate crap first set and still pulls it out, with some major help from Baghdatis in his last service game. Shame on you Marcos, shame.

Baghdatis is an idiot, loses the TB. Amazing Federer wants to lose and Baghdatis just makes the game more difficult in orer for FEd to get out of Cincinnati. Baghdatis deserves a 6-0

At least Fed didn't go down in straight sets like he did last year in the same exact match.

Oh and speaking of going down in straight sets. Roddick joined the "down in straights sets" group today. This exclusive group already includes Nadal and Djokovic.

Maybe Federer wanted to join that group but Marcos wouldn't let him ;)

Close match. But both players have made a considerable amount of errors.

1 all in the second set

they both seem to reluctant to get out there to play today. roger insist gifting baggy break points. baggy refuses to take every single of them. roger shanks, baggy DFs. every time someone is ahead, the other will fault.

roger is so reluctant to move. it's like he has to think for a second before he chases after the ball. baggy with all the DFs....what an ugly match.

is it a planned practice between the two?

Man Baghdatis smacks a forehand right in the net. Giving Federer an advantage.

Federer misses his service return and challenges but the call stands. Deuce

I might be reluctant to move when 105F degrees ...must be heat exhaustion. They should not play at this time of the day.

Don't know what the matter is with Roger, but Marcos is probably tired from the long match yesterday. Things aren't looking too good for him, now that he is a break down in the second set. This is usually when Federer starts freeing up his arms, going for shots a little more.

Not exactly, Nadal belongs to the retired players group in Cincy, as well as Gasquet.

I'm not watching the match but sounds like this is a disgrace. Poor fans that paid for the tickets.

This was the chance for Bagdhatis to take out Federer, but unlike Murray last year he couldn't take advantage of a a very poor performance from Fed.
This might be the deciding match for Federer to win Cincy. I'm sure his game wil get better from now on.
This was a match Baghdatis had every chance to win, but crumbled under pressure. Dissapointed in him, but glad for Federer as he needs the points.

He'll need to. It could be so easy for Fed to take this tournament, with all other top seeds out, but if he continues to play like that it's not gonna happen

From all the players at Cincy Davydenko seems to play the best tennis atm (though I haven't seen his matches). But of course this would mean nothing if he faces Federer in the final...

People may look at the score (7-6, 7-6) and say: "whooa! great match!"

NOOOOO!!!

It was awful, horrendous, and horrible

BP Federer, 30-40
