Final Words on Gamma X-2?

I need a stringer bad. I don't have that much to spend on a stringer and have never strung a racquet in my life. I read the reviews for X-2 and most of which is positive. I read something about frame torsion with 2 point mount, will it be a problem for the X-2? I have 3 Wilson HPS 6.1 that needs restringing, and I'll probably only string these racquets.

A good 2pt mount will be fine. The Alpha and Gamma are both good machines, I wouldn't worry about it in either case.

If you're set on the gamma, order it. If you're still thinking about it at all, I agree that the linear gripper on the string pal is a nice feature and the Alpha is cheaper...for more info call and talk to Mark at Alpha, as noted, a great guy who will be helpful and won't try to "sell" you. 800-922.9024.

I got the Gamma, but I'm sure the Alpha is a solid machine as well.
I went for the Gamma in the end, as it came with free shipping and a ton of strings, tools, manuals etc.

My X-2 is a GREAT Machine and worth every penny.

I'm concerned about my plastic Gamma Clamps, will they last long ?

Anybody know where I can buy some better clamps ?

Please suggest a set of Good Cheap Floating Clamps, my stringer cost $139.00 so I hope new clamps won't be expensive.

I think the Gamma clamps are fiber reinforced plastic, so they really shouldn't break.

I hear the Lasefibre clamps are great, but they sell at $45 each.
