Fischer M Speed Pro Number One Grip Size?

Help. Does anyone know if a Fischer grip size 4 1/2 is equal to a Wilson or Head 4 1/2 (I know Fischer is "boxier", but just wondering in terms of actual size). Reason I ask is because the Babolat grips seem to run a size bigger, ie. a Babolat size 4 1/2 is really like a 4 5/8 with everyone else. Thanks for your help.

I think the fischer grips run smaller than the head and wilson grips. I have a m speed no 1 racket and the grip feels more like a 3 even though it is a 4 like all my other rackets, if i had known i would have got a 5.

Hope that helps

I don't think there is any rule that can consistantly tell you what size you should get.

My Fischer had a 4 and 3/8 and it was perfect.

Both of my Babolat 4 and 3/8's run SMALLER than that.

You just can't know for sure. My advice is to make sure you don't ever buy one that is too big, it is much easier to make them bigger than make them smaller.

Another issue is the shape. I think the more rectangular it is the smaller you'll want it to be. The boxier it is, like Fischer, the bigger. It is all personal preference though.

My Fischer has a 3/8" grip and it feels like a 3/8" grip. I think it's the perfect grip shape.

If I had listened to people on this forum with regard to the grip shape, I would have never bought one. Everyone really seems to complain about it a lot, but it's absolutely perfect. Honestly, I can't see any real difference between the Fischer and other grips, other than the shape. But Head's grip shape is MUCH more rectangular, and grips like Yonex or Wilson are much more square. Fischer is right in the middle.

My advice is to not worry about the grip at all and just buy whatever size you normally get.
