GAMMA BALLS vs PENN vs WILSON -

I seem to crack the stuffing out of the ball when I use Gamma tennis balls - much less so than with Penn and Wilson ... I really hit a heavier stroke with Gamma balls and can't power up quite the same way with the others.

If you have never hit with Gamma's, they're "spongy" and they have kind of a "pop" when you hit em. Not dead-ish, like with pressureless balls, but "heavier."

What do you suspect might be going on "stroke-wise" that would give me such power with Gamma balls and not with the Penn and Wilson balls?

Penn's are flat out of the can so that would explain that. Maybe Gamma have more pressure in them. I find Dunlop and Wilson pretty similar with Dunlop maybe a little lighter and traveling farther faster. Never used Gamma.

Gamma balls seem to make a bigger sound when you hit them, so maybe the sound might make someone thing they are actually hitting the ball harder w. a Gamma ball. they play a little heavier and are way more durable than Penns and a bit more durable than Wilsons from my recollection. they would make a good ball to fill up a ball hopper or ball machine with.

Dunlop Abzorbers are really good, i find them to have the longest life. After about 2-3 tennis sessions, the penns, wilsons that i use lose pressure and cant be used for match play.

also like dunlop. They don't bald as easily as wilsons or penns. I think Gamma balls are little heavier but not that big of a deal.

I personally hate dunlop(Value balls). I have no comment on their durability, but i can tell they are just "different" from the rest of the balls. I typically just stick with the Wilson U.S. Opens or the Dunlop Grand Prix (i hate the VALUE Dunlops). They play IMO lighter, but i imagine if i were able to get used to them/not play with another ball i might adjust/enjoy them.

I like Dunlop, yeah I hate Penn tennis balls. I wanted to bring a can of Dunlops when I went to away tennis matches because the Penn tennis balls feel harder and heavier. And a lot of the other high schools used Penns for some reason :(.

I'd try to smack a forehand and it felt like I was hitting bricks with my tennis racquet.
