God I miss my Revelation 200g - need advice.

I'm having racket problems.

The Revelation 200g was the racket of my dreams

65 stiffness
12 oz.
322 SW
6-7 ptd headlight.

My Prince Diablo mids are too heavy (12.2 - 12.3 oz) and the swingweight is too high (331).

My Hotmelt 200gs are about right for weight (11.9 oz) and swingweight (317), but are not stiff enough (60).

So I'm looking for something with 64-67 stiffness, 315 to 322 SW, and 11.6 to 12 oz.

I know I could just look at specs, but wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Maybe for the first time, I'll have to customize - Maybe lead up a Mfil 200 16x19 or an Mfil 300.

Technifibre 320 fits those specs perfectly, and you even have a string pattern choice.

Ignore the listed TW swingweight of 308, it's actually closer to 315-320, same as the 335.

dont care what the #'s say on TW from my tests the Rev 200G is not considered stiff. it is just a little more crispier than the MW200G which was noodle. The Hotmelt 200G is stiff like a board and stiffer than the Rev 200g. I would suggest aerogel 200G

why would Ronny have the Vantage logo and then reccomend the fxp pretiege? I would think Vantage would be worth a shot

I've got a pair of Rev 200g's and the M-Fil 200 that I sampled just wasn't in the same league for me. I even tried the M-Fil with different string tensions.

One frame you may want to try (if you haven't) is the Prince Hybrid Tour. Don't be scared off by the swingweight in its spec's - I'm certainly no gorilla, but that SW of 337 is way too high. With a firm stringbed, that racquet is really nice off the ground, crisp and maneuverable at net, and has lots of feel. It's obviously not a clone of the old Dunlop, but I've found it to be extremely capable in the same sort of way. Also, the review of the Yonex RDS-001 really reminded me of the Rev 200g, but I've never tried it.

If you don't want to switch, keep an eye on the classifieds here. Those frames don't show up every day, but I see them here and there. Be patient and you can stock up on them for dirt!

I used a Revelation 200g from the time they came out until they went away, then I tried a Muscle Weave 200g. But I just never did like it quite as much as the Revelation. At the suggestion of some guys here on the board, I tried a Head Pro Tour 280. I have used the PT 280 for the last 5 years or so.

I realize that probably doesn't help you much, since the PT's are probably as hard to find as the Rev. 200g's. But it might give you an idea for something similar to look for. I thought the PT's were slightly more forgiving than the Revelations.

I also would agree with Michael Chaho that the stiffness of 65 seems out or line with the way the Revelation plays. I didn't feel that it was that much stiffer than the PT 280 (58).

Long time rev 200G user here. I had to move away from it because there was no power on the serves. It is really not that stiff, it certainly feels more like a prostaff but not like what a 65 rating would play. The HM 200G with a soft multi at 57-59 lbs plays very much like a rev 200G. Don't ever use a poly on these, they were not made for polys. The only other non-dunlop frame similar to the rev 200G is the tf 335 18x20.
