Head Gravity Pro.

The Head Gravity Pro strung with solinco confidential at 45lbs has been in my bag for about 2 months. Found it muted, not crisp and head heavy (not whippy). I may have been laboring under the misapprehension that it is similar to the RF97 and the Head Prestige MP 360+. These are two I use often.

What are your suggestions to spruce the Gravity so that I use it more?

What guage of Confidential are you using? I would suggest using only 120mm or less in this racquet.

Since you can handle an RF97A, make it more HL by adding weight to the handle. I added weight both at 7" above the butt cap (top of handle) and inside the butt cap. I also get a grip size down and then add two over-grips, but you could also try a leather grip if you don't want to use over-grips (personal preference - I sometimes add both leather and 2 over-grips, depending on what's needed). Also, I use thinner gauge strings as this will add less weight to the head of the racquet (I use 1.20mm or less).

Hope that helps and solves the issue for you, as the G360+ Gravity Pro is a great racquet.

Like everyone else says - leather grip. Also confidential is a muted string. I'd suggest Silver 7 Tour with no dampener - crisp and buttery feel. That will also re balance the frame for you. It has been working for me.

Hit my new 21 GPro last night, pretty good stick. Reminds me a lot of my G360+ Prestige MP but a bit more forgiving. Power, control are similar. The best shot with the GPro is the backhand slice. It hits a low, flat penetrating backhand slice really naturally. The launch angle is pretty low like the Prestige MP, really have to get under the ball and brush up the back. I was also hitting a bunch of serves into the net, had to change my serve grip a bit to clear the net.

Was strung at 46 (probably around 42 lbs) with 18 gauge hyper G soft. I may restring and lower the cross tension to see if I can get a bit higher launch angle. I did change to the leather grip at the end of the session and it felt a bit more maneuverable which I liked. My stick was under spec at anyway so this worked out well to get it to about 341 grams strung with over grip, dampener after the head leather grip was swapped in.

Backhand slice is a gem, but to me the best shots really are big topspin forehands and backhands. It's insanely heavy and precise for me. Of course, the specs you are at really matter. Sounds like you got a light one, plus you are using thin gauge, which is a good move. And remember you can swap out the buttcap to drop 4 grams if you need. Doing that with leather and a 1.23 gauge string I am at 327 SW 336 grams, 6 pts HL.

This frame grows on you after a few weeks, so it only gets more enjoyable for me in match play.

I totally forgot that you can swap out the Head weight butt caps.

I’ve been wanting a leather grip on my GP since I got them, but just couldn’t play well with it. This tweak might be just what I’m looking for.

I wish Head made a 10 gram+ gram butt cap. Even with the leather grip and the 7 gram butt cap and 18g strings and an over grip I'm still at 7HL, would love 8+

I'd suggest any crisp poly with no dampener. This frame needs no dampening IMHO. Tour Status and Lynx Tour would be great as well and should get more life than Tour Bite (which I love except for the fast death it has).

How many grams did that require in the buttcap? I noticed there is not much room for ptty due to the large buttcap and nails.

I think I added 4 grams of Tungsten Putty (the advantage is that as it's putty, it can flatten out)... but, I also buy one grip smaller and then put two overgrips and I also added 5-6g at 7" above the butt cap (top of grip), and I also wrap the overgrip 2-3 times around the butt cap to increase the flare a bit. I did add weight to the head as well... but I'm still at 315mm balance strung.

Hope that helps.
