HEAD PRO TOUR 280 MP Vs. FISCHER M SPEED PRO#1

Ten_nuts

Semi-Pro
Hi all, i always play with Head PT280 MP, and my favorite strings are: Main Luxilon Power Rough 16 & Cross RAB Endurance at 60 lbs. Yes, i am very satisfied every game I play. Recently I got a good deal on a pair of Fischer M Speed Pro #1 (12 oz, MP), and i tried only 1 stick first to see how it goes. I strung with my fav. string at main Luxilon 61 lbs and cross RAB 63 lbs, and when i played for the first few minutes my love with Head PT 280 has only 3/7 left. From serve to forehand, 1 handed backhand, slice, volley, the racquet is just incredible. Same as Head PT 280, this Fischer is very easy around the court, but 1 thing i must say is my semi-western forehand rip the ball is amazing, it's even better than the Head PT 280. So my friends, has any of you tried this Fischer M Speed Pro #1 and feel the same way? If possible please tell your type of string and tension. Thanks.

I've got one.

I enjoy hitting with it. It is really good for a one handed backhand and extremely manueverable for all shots. It is low powered for groundstrokes and serves.

It has fantastic control (probably due to the low power) and an extremely unique feel that I don't think anyone could dislike. It is also very good for volleys, considering it's flex, I didn't think it would be so good.

It is just an overall great racket. You can pick it up and instantly feel comfortable with it. It has great feel, decent power level, an extremely predictable response, and a great paint job. The more squarish grip seems to help with the one-handed backhand and I don't think it hurts anything else.

I fully agree with the TW review.

Mine is strung with 18 gauge Pacific Polyforce at 54 lbs. It feels like ALU power (16) to me, but I have never had this string on anything else.
