Houston, TX tennis community?

Hi guys, I'll be moving here and was wondering if anyone knew of any public/recreational places to play tennis for free with a big community of people to play with.

I am near the George Bush Park/Eldridge area.

The 2 large public facilities are Lee Leclear tennis center (Bellaire area SW f the city) and Memorial Park (from Eldridge go east on Memorial Drive into the Park indies loop 610).

Also look at the HTA (Houston Tennis Assoc.) website that can help you find groups. Houston is more a private club market - places like Westside Tennis and Westheimer Indoor which are close to you cost about $100 mo. For a single membership and $200 for a family to join.
