Hybrid Tension and Stringway Tension Advisor (TA)

I posted this on stringforum.net but got no replies yet, so -

I have a Stringway ML100 (actually Laserfibre) and have been using the Stringway Tension Advisor (TA) for most of my stringing - two piece and same string (syngut or multi-filiament). This typically calls for a lower reference (machine) tension for the crosses vs. the mains. For the Head Radical, PT280 this is about 2 lbs less and for the Volkl c10, PB10 Mid, it is about 7 lbs less. These tensions give a decent stringbed feel.

I just recently started stringing hybrids with poly mains and syngut crosses and according to the Jay Cee method the poly mains should be 2 - 4 lbs (1 - 2 kgms) lower than the nylon no matter if in the mains or crosses. Jay Cee does not seem to differentiate for different racquet models. I have also strung several racquets this way and they also seem to play fine - I don't have a lot of experience with poly yet. It has also been stated that Jay Cee relies on the TA quite a bit

I guess my question is, how is the TA used to determine reference tensions for poly, hybrid and full-bed? I have also read that some people adjust string lengths (less than actual?) and/or have some other methods of adjustment.

For example, for a DT of 34, the Volkl C10 tensions according to the TA should be ~57 lbs mains, ~50 lbs crosses. Using the Jay Cee method for stringing and low tension for poly recommendations - I used a soft poly (Pro's Pro Red Devil) in the mains at 46 lbs and Forten Sweet 17 (syngut) in the crosses at 49 lbs and the racquet seems to play fine.

How does one use the Stringway TA in poly hybrid and full bed situations and how does one compensate for different racquet sizes and string patterns - which is what the TA is supposed to do?

- Thanks
