Ok so here in England we have a soap called Hollyoaks and this week they showed 5 late night episodes in which one of the main characters, Sarah, was killed off. Basically Sarah (brunette) and Lydia (short-haired blonde) are a lesbian couple but psycho Lydia thinks that Sarah is cheating on her with Zoe (long-haired blonde). So the night before the three of them go parachute jumping, Lydia tampers with Zoe's parachute but then they get mixed up and Lydia has no idea who has the faulty one. Turns out it is Sarah...
Anyways this was probably the most haunting soap death I've ever seen, the music and effects were really well done.
Hollyoaks used to be great and really sucks now, but this was fantastic. Watch if you will...

Around 2:50 is when it all kicks off.
The suspense is great because when Zoe successfully activates her parachute, Lydia looks extremely anxious (obviously) as she knows that either she is about to die or her girlfriend is.
