If they meet at AO12, implications of Nadal leading Fed 2-0 in hardcourt slam h2h?

If Nadal beats Federer here and loses the final, it's obvious he's a better HC player than Federer. Federer hasn't won the olympics and is 0-2 against Nadal on the surface in GS tennis, so...

Fed's 9 HC grandslams or 6 YEC's?? Who cares. He's NILL FOR TWO against his main rival.

Great post! Obviously the match between a nearly retired Federer and peak Nadal is the one that matters the most to their legacy!

Clown!
Nadal loses to Ferrer and Murray multiple times at hc slams. What's worse is he was never good enough to defend any hc title.

I think it's more of a match-up issue as opposed to talent really. If Nadal was that good of a hc player, he would have numerous USOs and AOs and hc masters to his name don't you think? :)
His style is a nightmare for Federer. Doesn't necessarily mean Nadal is better on hards though.
And they have two very different styles. One is slick smooth and effortless, the other is a pushing grinder who plays every point like it's a match point, leading to premature physical issues. Federer's not the one who is concerned that he'll be unable to go skiing once his career is over.

Aha, now I get it. So once you're older and not at your peak powers you should retire. Federer should've retired in 2007, then, Nadal in 2010 and Murray shouldn't've even started playing pro tennis.

****s? I am not familiar with your imaginary language. Any true Nadal fan knows Nadal is in his peak. Only haters like namelessone, TennisFan3 and Clarky21 don't see that. Vamos peak Nadal! Show the haters that you can win AO in straight sets just like Federer did in 2007 when he was the same age!

NO. He's peak are years behind.

Can the ****s please make up their minds?

It's always been stated my most fans that Fed has already decline, but with a few exception by the ****s including yourself, who's trying to convince the masses that a 30 yr old Fed is playing his best tennis while a 24/25 yr old Nadal has decline.

Given Federer's amazing success in hardcourt slams, it is staggering to think that Nadal may lead Federer 2-0 in their hardcourt slams h2h after this fortnight. It locks up Nadal's ownership of their hardcourt rivalry, regardless of whether Federer leads their overall hardcourt h2h. The slams count for so much more than a slender Federer lead in non-slam hardcourt meetings. Plus it can be picked apart by showing that Federer has only beaten Nadal once in outdoor hardcourt meetings. Does anyone else see this meeting as being especially significant?

Can't really take anything for granted here, Federer is anything but an old man. Also, the fans don't believe their own B.S. as the polls show.

Of course, 25 year old Nadal on the other hand is sloppy, uninspired, flat, has no chance in hell against Novak etc.

Also, the fans don't believe their own B.S. as the polls show.

Problem is you'd have to prove that every poll vote for Fed is from a Fed fan.

Furthemore, as is the case for any fan group, opinions within vary from one fan to the other.

Exactly. Have you seen how many Nadal fans are trying to jinx things by claiming Federer will win? Go ask Doomsday Clarky and others. By the way I know you have ZAGOR, talking to Jackson

It is going to be interesting to see how the rest of the year develops. At this rate I just don't see Nadal doing anything more significant than continuing to dominate Federer.

But still, dominating 30+ Federer, is that something to be especially proud of? I mean according to yourself players decline at the age of 24-25 so Fed is 5 years removed from his peak, yes?

certainly it's as impressive as Federer dominating agassi in his last years..

but wait, doesn't that not count according to NadalAgassi and lolville?

I can't keep this stuff straight, they switch it up so much.

It is if you are Djokovic, as he lost to Federer at Roland Garros last year and almost at the US Open too. And Federer so far is playing better in 2012. Good chance Federer doesn't lose to Djokovic in the slams this year.

Rafa may be a lock to win 3 slams in 2012 if Rafa and Federer are in opposite sides of the draw.

That is if Federer can defeat Novak which I don't see happening at the moment. However, that is far more likely than Federer being seeded #2 at FO this year.

Well you saw it last year, and Federer looks far sharper this year than last year, while Djokovic looks far messier this year than last year.

Hey, I mean, if even Nadal can take Djokovic to five on Djokovic's best slam, Fed may have a better chance on the three remaining slams, which Djokovic isn't nearly as proficient on.

Well TECHNICALLY he could be both (if he's nearly retired then he's obviously past his peak). Not that I believe he is nearly retired, as he has stated he has many more years to go.

On another note, what is wrong with you man? If one fan believes something different from another set of fans, what is so wrong about that and why must you ALWAYS judge an entire group of fans based on what one poster says? Holy heck, he doesn't speak for everyone!! It's just disrespectful to insult everbody like you do, and it's the reason why nobody on this forum takes you seriously, because you are rude and VILE.

Just my .02.....

It's embarrassing to admit that we nadal fans still depend on Federer for Nadal to bring home the bacon.

But, Freddie still has to beat Nole, you know.

Novak may not look as sharp, however even playing like that Nadal can do very little as we saw at the AO 2012.

So regardless of Novak playing great Nadal can't really do much at this point, that may change but so far seems unlikely, although more likely then Federer fantasies.

In case the mods needed any more proof that 6-1 6-3 6-0 is NSK/nadalwon2012.....

similar thread from recently by 6-1 6-3 6-0 said:
Since Federer has had outstanding success at the hard-court slams, it is absolutely dazzling that Nadal may lead 3-0 in their hard-court slams H2H after the US Open this year. The slams count for a lot more than non-slam hard-court meetings, especially where the conditions are best of 3 sets. Not only that, but Federer has hardly made a dent in the outdoor hard-court non-slam H2H. Does anyone else see this potential meeting as especially significant?

Let us look at two thread titles by supposedly different users;

1). "If they meet at USO2012, implications of Nadal leading Fed 3-0 in hardcourt slam H2H?"

(By 'nadalwon2012')

2). "If they meet at AO12, implications of Nadal leading Fed 2-0 in hardcourt slam h2h?"

(By '6-1 6-3 6-0')

Something about the first thread title reminds me of something about the second thread title, but I'm not sure what it is.

Plain evidence this guy is creating multiple accounts, and returning after bans.

IP ban, please.

my question is, what in god's name happened to LOLville? Did Djokovic losing the number 1 ranking to Federer hurt him this much? It's been so.. blessedly quiet without him here.
