Is the 2017 French Open going to be that "changing of the guard" moment for Djokovic?

Let's see if Nick will be able to translate those victories into slam victories. Only then, I might consider it a changing of the guard.
Obviously, its not something we can agree at this moment. By definition, it is something we can identify only retrospectively when the players continues his career in the next 10 years. We can only speculate now whether a particular match/player can eventually become that COG moment.

Anyway, apart from that technicality of definitions, I think they're (Nick and Co.) showing better intent and progress than the Raonic & Co. Let's see.... :)

Simple stat for you guys. Since Gimeno in 1972 no one older than 30 has won the French. Djokovic, Wawrinka and Gomez were the only ones aged 29 or 30 to win it. So the top favorits this year are:

Nadal - 31
Djokovic, Murray - 30
Federer - 36
Wawrinka - 32
Tsonga, Berdych, Gasquet, Monfils - 31,32

Guys like Thiem, Nishikori and Zverev have a lot bigger chances than you think
I'd add Goffin and Kyrgios (scratch Ninja:(). Clay is a young man's game.

When will real men start to rise and take over the tour from these pathetic metrosexuals???

We've got utter fools like Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray ruling the tour in the last couple of years. It was a funny joke for a while. Now it isn't. We even have some old man winning Slams again because slow and relatively untalented following generations can't do anything at the top level. Now our best future prospect is currently 6'6'' and there's no precedent for such a tall player going on to become wildly successful. But at least they are real men and I know that you're a great and big fan of men who are not fake but are instead real (meaning that they are not fake and are made out of things that really exist such as fairy dust). Real men of blood, sweat and no tears. But the man of the future is a big wuss. Be careful with who you marry.

I miss the non political correctness in tennis and the diversity in tennis. Since Federer has been the big star, he has sucked the air from everybody who wants to be different and themselves. I give Murray credit that he does not try to be loved, he is his own person. Back in the 90's 80's and even 70's everybody was different from each among the big stars. I miss the emotions, the straight shooter talk and the compelling storylines. Now we have bromances on the tour. I am not asking for these guys to kill each other, I just want the men on the tour to have more killer instinct instead of bending over for this athlete cause they are a big star or tickets.

I give the younger talent credit, they are no intimidated by the big stars. It is mainly the in between generation that been a big dissapointment.
