ITF Chief will "do everything" to get Rafael Nadal to play the Paris Olympics in 2024

The ITF Chief David Haggerty says the body will do everything to get Rafael Nadal to play the Paris Olympics in 2024, held at Roland Garros:

"We know what a champion he is and a medallist a number of times so it certainly could be a storybook ending, so to speak, for him. It would be great. Whether he does or not, will be up to him. But we'll do everything we can to encourage him to play, because I think it would be great. Knowing that it's in Paris, at Roland Garros, where he's had such tremendous success would be a great venue for him to be able to compete at”

But the rules are rules
Of course, that's why your idol was disqualified from the 2020 US Open, that's why your idol didn't play in the 2022 edition for not meeting the requirements to enter American soil, that's why it's curious that you talk about rules when you go out of your way to talk about the "injustices" that, according to you, he has had to endure in recent times.

So what you’re saying is that Djokovic must meet the rules or be punished, but Nadal doesn’t and he gets rewarded?

Thanks for confirming what we’ve been saying for years, your boy is getting help by the ATP/Media.

After the draw they gave your idol at the recent US Open, do you have the nerve to say something like that?

I see many ill informed trolls are already plaguing this thread. The “establishment” isn’t rigging anything. There’s additional qualification pathways setup that let previous Olympic or Grand Slam champions participate as long as the player is within the top 400.

Yep this is old rule, I am really surprise that many people don't know this.
Only Spain has to help by not completing their quota

Is this the rule under which Nadal can get the equivalent of a 'wild card":

Two (2) Universality places are made available to eligible NOCs at the Olympic Games Paris 2024: (one men’s singles, one women’s singles). On 1 October 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will invite all eligible NOCs to submit their requests for Universality places. The deadline for NOCs to submit their requests is 15 January 2024. The Tripartite Commission will confirm, in writing, the allocation of Universality places to the relevant NOCs after the end of the qualification period for the sport concerned. Detailed information on Universality places is contained in the “Games of the XXXIII Oly

Draws are luck-based and not at all a factor that you think they are. There’s a reason I hardly bash Nadal for “easy draws” despite the fact he’s had many runs where he hasn’t faced top 10 competition.

If I remember rightly so it was rafa who cam with the statement that rules are rules for everyone. Even if it was not the rules but the government's political expulsion in AO

He's not even talking about the rules or Rafa qualifying. He's talking about convincing Rafa to play lol. No one even mentions the rules because everyone already knows if Rafa wants in, he's obviously in. It's just the deluded crocfam who seethe and cry over this.
I can't care less if Rafa plays or not OG. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the ITF after everything nole and russians been through and this rafa situation. those who do not see do not want to see. but all that just adds to the greatness of No1e's GOAThood.

It's amazing that you still try to run with the 'corrupt establishment, underdog Djokovic' narrative. Such is the state of the mind frozen in permanent victimhood.

But he has to be included under a specific rule unless the Olympics are a free-for-all.

when I remember how many was whined when Nole won participation in the WTF last year as slam champion and top 20 player, everything according to the rules. and that despite everything they did to him at AO, USO and 4 North American Masters. in the end, he not only made the top8 before the WTF but won it without losing a RR match!

Keep doubling down. Only makes you look more ridiculous.

Find a new identity, it's unhealthy to invest in tennis players beyond their tennis results.

How could any Djokovic fan claim with a straight face that Djokovic is not favored by the "establishment" (whatever that means) after Wimbledon 2018?

no they did not. nole won in court and they admitted that his visa was valid. however they used antiterrorist godpowers "lows" to kock him out anyway.
Djoko’s visa that was issued on Nov.18, 2021 was useless for crossing Australia’s border without proof of vacc. status or a medical exemption. Djoko himself said in his affidavit he presented to the court (in January 2022) that he knew receiving the visa in November was not enough to enter Australia, that’s why he needed a medical exemption. The exemption Craig Tiley sent to Djoko on December 30, 2021 was based on an invlid reason - having C19 & recovering from it recently.

they did wrong. he had a valid visa and exemption. he won the first trial. at another trial, the government admitted that the visas and exemptions were valid but still deported him for a completely different reason. they said that in case of eventual victory in AO, he could stir up an anti-vax sentiment that could grow in the country (with like 98% vaccinated) and lead to big riots and applied so-called "powers of god" an anti-terrorist law that gives the government the power to deport whomever they want, how they want and for whatever reason they want. they don't even have to state a reason.

I posted evidence that his visa was useless for crossing the Australian border.

it was not. lot of people crossed border with the same exception. while he was in the plain on his whey to OZ politic decision was made to stop him. all this was proven.

here is why they deported him. nothing to do with his visa or exception, because they were legit. if not they would not need to attempt gods power low.

EDIT
minister and the government that made this fiasco are no longer in power in OZ. partly because of the fiasco. however, not only have they deported nole but he got a 3 year ban from entering OZ. the new government has canceled this! so nole traveled there and won the whole thing this year!

his exemption was sketchy from the get go.. apparently he got covid at just the right time but kept it a secret & did press tours with journalists & children. so not only does he not believe in the vaccine which is fine but also doesn’t believe in quarantining. there’s proof on that. and then all the stuff came out how his covid test serial number was backdated or something. his dad probly made a fake one at home with his printer. the whole thing was a scandal

Renata Voracova, whom Craig Tiley (the boss of Tennis Australia) sent a medical exemption, was deported, too.

all of this that you say is completely irrelevant and was NEVER even mentioned in court. he was expelled for political reasons that had nothing to do with his visa, exemption or any of the things you mentioned!

Nadal traveled to Australia while he was infected !!!!
